56. battle [finale]

"Of course not. Anything that dangerous, that out of control, is better off dead." He threatened, and Derek looked down at Jackson in between his legs who emerged from his slumber and dug his claws into Derek's chest. Derek gasped in shock as blood started to drip slowly from his mouth. Jackson growled and pushed him up as Derek balanced on the claws. Jackson threw him into the plastic drapes where he disappeared behind them with a thud. "Well done to the last, Scott. Like the concerned friend you are, you brought Jackson to Derek to save him. You just didn't realize that you also bringing Derek to me."

An arrow was shot behind Gerard in the direction of Scott, but he ducked, hitting Isaac in the shoulder as he fell back.

"Allison?" He asked in shock, and watched as the figure disappeared behind the wall. He hurried over to Isaac and helped him up, bringing him to safety. Chris had his gun out and was pointing it at Jackson who was very much alive and well. He shot him in the shoulder, but then Jackson screeched and jumped over Chris's car and hid behind it. Chris kept firing at the car, taking out the windows as he did so. As he reloaded, Jackson jumped up onto the car, looking like a fully transformed Kanima. He whipped his tail around and it grasped the Argent's gun, where he whipped it out of his hand. Chris was shocked but then made a run from the terrifying creature.

He pulled out his combat knife and watched as the creature run at him, taking him out before he was able to stab the beast. Derek came out of hiding, fully healed and wolfed up, and roared at the Kanima. Scott and Isaac did the same, as they all cornered the Kanima and started to attack it one by one. The goal wasn't to kill Jackson, only to maim him enough to render him not dangerous anymore. The Alpha and his Beta, Isaac, along with Scott, the lone wolf, all took turns to try and fight off the Kanima, but it was too strong for all for them. They all got knocked down, only able to throw in a few hits at Jackson before being beaten again.

The werewolves were defeated, with Derek badly injured, but Isaac still had a fight in him. He stood up proud and attempted to walk over to the Kanima, but Allison jumped out out of nowhere and cut him with two chinese daggers. He took a swing at her but she ducked and stood behind him, before stabbing him twice in the back and watched as he fell to the ground. Allison rounded up on the Alpha, but suddenly the Kanima hit the daggers out of her hands and held Allison captive, tightly holding her neck.

"Not yet, sweetheart." Gerard came out of the shadows and smiled deviously at the two.

"What are you doing?" Allison asked in shock, the question everyone wanted to know. Derek's uncle, Peter, who was lurking in the shadows the entire time, looked on wearily as Gerard looked at Scott.

"He's doing what he came here to do." Scott stated, and Gerard looked at in him a funny way.

"Then you know." He inquired, and Allison looked on.

"What is he talking about?" She asked quietly, refusing to look at Scott. Gerard looked at her for a moment, then back at Scott. Chris stood behind him strongly after being winded by Jackson.

"It was that night at the hospital, when I threatened your mother, wasn't it? I knew I saw something in your eyes, you could just smell it, couldn't you?" Gerard asked, and the pain Isaac experienced turned back into a human as he looked up at Gerard.

"He's dying." He announced, and Gerard snapped his head towards Isaac.

"I am. I have been for a while now. Unfortunately, science does not have the cure for cancer yet. But the supernatural does." Gerard explained, smiling at Derek. Allison's gasps must have annoyed Gerard, as Jackson tightened his grip on her neck. Both Chris and Scott got angrier.

"You monster." Chris spat, the hatred in his voice obvious. Gerard looked at him and smirked.

"Not yet." He replied.
