Cian's pov For the next five hours me and Amie just watched movies. We watched the chucky movies where he marries Tiffany and the second one where they have a child. I thought it would be a really cute idea to dress up as them for Halloween. We have two months to find the outfits....if we get Amie into the university today.
My mom dad and brothers all came back around the same time. As Amie went up to my/our room to grab everything she needed I talked to my parents about what the plan was. Me and Amie were going to wait in the car while my parents were going to go in and talk with the principle first. Amie came down shortly after with her purse and US documents and stuff. Then we were off.
~~~skip the car ride~~~ We pulled into one of parking lots that was closest to the admissions building. Me and Amie stayed in the car while my parents went in.
"Ciano, I'm so nervous! What if this doesn't work?" She said looking towards me tearing up a bit.
"Ames don't think like that! We gotta stay positive! We will find a way, promise." I said pulling her towards me and kissing her forehead. I wrapped her up in a hug as I stared towards the door my parents went in.
"I promise that nothing will happen to us." I said. I dont know who I was trying to convince more, me or her. I kissed her head again and saw my parents come out with who must have been the admissions counselor. Me and Amie got out of the car and walked up to them.
"Hello. I am Dr. Henderson. Its very nice to meet you. You must be Amie!" He said shaking Amie's hand. I recognized Dr. Henderson not only from all the college news and pictures going around but he also happened to be Logan from the old boy band Big Time Rush. I guess fame finally settled for him and he was back to being a normal person.
"Yes sir! Its a pleasure to meet you too." Amie responded to him. He lead the four of us into his office and began right away.
"So Amie, you are looking to transfer from the University of Minnesota in the US to The University of Dublin here in Ireland. Correct?"
"Yes, thats correct!" She told him.
"Well I will need to see your transcript from the other university and your citizenship card." Dr Henderson said. Amie handed the two documents over. Dr Henderson looked them over nodding every once in a while. "This is very impressive work young lady"
"Thank you. I tried very hard to get the grades that I did. The U of M is a big college and the classes are very difficult. I am happy that I passed." Amie responded.
"I just need to ask you a few more questions. But it needs to be just you and me. Do you mind stepping out into the hallway for a few minutes?" Dr Henderson pointed to the door behind us. I didnt want to leave Amie by herself but my dad took me by the shoulder and lead me out of the room. We closed the door behind us so neither group could hear the other talking.
"Ugh I really hope this works! Do you think they will let her in?" I gave my parents a worried look.
"Dr Henderson seemed very impressed by Amie's transcript so there is a good chance he might accept her. But being from the US there are a lot of barriers needed to be crossed still." my dad said. "But I believe she will make it"
"Thanks dad. That made me feel better." I told him smiling a bit. We waited a bit longer until the doors opened up and Amie and Dr Henderson walked out.
"Thank you all for stopping by. I need to make a few calls about this and then I will call you to tell you the news." Dr Henderson said shaking our hands and waving us off.
"So...how did it go? Was is good vibes? What did he ask you?" I asked as we got back in the car.
"Yeah it felt good! He just asked me random questions about coming here to Ireland, why I wanted to transfer, what would make me a good fit....all that random stuff." She told us. "He said everything should be dealt with by next Friday. Then I will know if I get accepted or not" She said staring out the window as we took off back for Mayo.
"Im sure everything will be ok..." I said grabbing her hand and smiling at her. She smiled back and we were quiet, just listening to the radio, the rest of the way home.
~~~~The following week~~~~ ~~~~~Friday, news day.~~~~~ I was sitting on the couch watching tv. Amie was upstairs in our room talking on the phone. Im guessing it was important and thats why she left our movie marathon. It was paused and I was just waiting for her to come back down and rejoin me. About five minutes later I heard footsteps coming into the living room.
"Hey. Who was that? Is everything ok?" I asked her as she looked blank.
"That was the University...." She started staring into my eyes.
"What did they say?" I asked wondering why she looked so empty. Oh goodness I hope it was just shock from them saying yes. I cant loose her...please tell me they didnt say no to her!
