Piper's POV:
We were sitting on the logs around the campfire waiting for Bob to come and tell us what he wanted to say. After we had sat down Lenny pulled him aside and they've been talking for five minutes. The skeletons weren't exactly good at whispering so I could make out little snippets of their conversation.
"You didn't have to be so Dramatic about! It's only....... not the end of the world!" Lenny was ranting about something but I couldn't hear what.
"Oh come on! This is gonna change everything. It's a big deal" Bob defended himself.
"Yeah, but you made it sound like they were moving to the village or something." Lenny rolled his eye sockets.
"VILLAGE?!" Micha shouted, obviously picking up just as much as they were saying as I had. She was now standing with her ears up and tail fluffed up.
She was freaking out but had a good reason to. We hadn't talked to actual people since the orphanage and that was 7 years ago! I couldn't imagine living around people every single day without Bob and Lenny. The skeletons froze and stared at her.
"Shoot. I think she heard us." Lenny failed-whispered (A/N yes failed-whispered is a thing now. Deal with it.)
"Yeah. I think she did." I (actually) whispered to make it obvious how loud they were being.
"Micha.." Bob started slowing walking over to her and placing his hands on her shoulders. "We're not moving to the village." Micha let out a sigh of relief before letting her ears and tail relax.
"But you two will be going there a lot." Lenny added.
"And what exactly do you mean by that?" I asked raising an eyebrow, now rising from my seat as well.
"Well, the 'big news' I had to tell you guys was that me and Lenny both decided-"
"That you're gonna start going to middle school!" Lenny finished the sentence for him.
"MIDDLE SCHOOL?" Me and Micha screamed in disbelief.
"You m-mean as i-in t-t-the-" I stuttered
"VILLAGE!!!?" Micha said it for me and her tail fluffed up again. I was nervous but Micha, She started panicking whenever someone mentioned the V-word. she really is scared of somebody finding out she's a hybrid. I know how hard it is for her to keep it a secret.
"B-but w-w-what if the kids find out- W-what if t-they do something to me. I-I" Micha had tears streaming down her face now. I stopped her by wrapping her in a hug.
"I swear to Notch Micha, If one of them so much as touches you I will murder them. I PROMISE to protect you." I said softly in her ear.
She hugged back and smiled while I wiped away her tears.
After a while she was back to her chirpy self, despite her eyes still red from crying.
"So do you mind telling us why you want to send us to a 'proper' school." I finally said, ending the silence.
"Simple! We wanted you two to learn more about Minecraft and things other than, well, survival" Bob replied.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Since when has anything ever been anything other than 'survival' with you!" Micha started laughing. It was amazing how in a second all her fear had been replaced by laughter and bravery.
"Shut up." Bob chuckled as he ruffled her hair.
"Wait," I worried "If we start going to school there, then what's gonna happen to the classes we have here. Y'know, archery, building shelter, how to hunt.." I didn't want to stop doing that. It was like our version of 'Family night' except we have it everyday.
"We'll still have those." Lenny reassured me. "Just not for the entire day"
"Good." I sighed.
"When do we start?" Micha said, beaming.
They looked at each other, then at us and smirked.
"Tomorrow." They said at the same time.

(Later that night)
"Hey, Micha?" I whispered to her. It was midnight and Bob and Lenny were sleeping in their tent and me and Micha were in ours. "You awake?" She instantly opened one eye.
"Yeah, I couldn't sleep." She replied, still keeping her other eye closed.
"You scared?"
"No! I'm exited"
"That's my brave mutt" I said jokingly whilst scratching behind her ear.
"Hey!" She shouted as loud as she could without waking anyone up. I laughed quietly and she shoved a pillow in my face.

The night passed but I still could not sleep. The sun would be rising in a few hours. So I decided that I should probably just get up now. I went to the forest in hopes of finding some familiar faces. Before I left though, I grabbed the bow and quiver Lenny had given me for my 8th birthday along with the sword Bob had given me just a few weeks ago for my 12th birthday. He said it was made from a special gemstone that couldn't be found in the overworld. Both of the weapons had my initials engraved in them. Those boneheads really treat me like a daughter. That had put a smile on my face until I heard two familiar voices just ahead of me. I peeked through the trees and saw a person with his diamond sword pointed at Marty and Drake. I could see they were already hurt, one more hit and they'd be dead. I had to stop this so I drew back my bow, aimed and knocked the sword right out of his hand.
"Ugh. Stupid skeletons." I heard him mutter under his breath. While he was distracted I knocked him unconscious with the flat side of my sword.
"Piper!" Drake and Marty screamed before hugging me. And by that I mean they put their heads on each of my shoulders as I kneeled down and hugged them. As I pulled away I noticed Marty staring at my sword.
"You like?" I smirked and posed with my left hand on my hip and my right hand leaning on the sword. Drake laughed, while Marty on the other hand looked at me with concern.
"Where did you get this?" He asked me. That's when I started to worry.
"Bob gave it to me for my birthday a couple weeks ago. Why?" I raised an eyebrow to him.
"It's just. Actually, never mind." He said shaking his head.
"Well, that was weird. Anyway, looks like the sun's rising. We should probably head back now." Drake said, just about as confused as I was.
"Wait what! Oh shoot! I gotta go. See ya!" I then ran back as fast as I could. I hope I can make it before they wake up. I thought to myself as I ran back to the camp.
