Piper's POV:
When I woke up I was back at the 'space between the universe'. I sighed and sat down, crossing my legs.
"Alright spirits, why have you got for me today?" Even though I had only been there before twice- and the second time was only for a few seconds -I was already used to it. It felt normal at this point.
"Come on in," A voice sounded from behind me. I turned around and saw I was now back at my old childhood house. I was in the same room as last time, sitting on the light green carpet that lay on the floor.
I saw Heather come out from the side, past the wall where I assumed the front door was, and walked over to the cot in the center of the room. I got up and followed, wanting to play with the baby again.
"Here she is," Heather walked over and leaned on the bars of the cot. Then, a woman with long pale brown hair walked in. She followed the path Heather took and had her hands clasped together in front of her.
She looked naturally shy.
"Is this her?" Her bright green eyes widened as she saw the younger version of me.
"Mhm," Heather smiled warmly and hummed, stepping aside so I was in view.
"She's beautiful, Heather." The woman whispered.
"Merline, you think everything is beautiful." Heather rolled her eyes.
"She's got you there!" A third voice laughed. I spun around to see a dark blue couch up against the wall I had my back to. And on that couch was Griffin.
"What are you doing here?" Merline asked softly, strolling over to him.
"I practically live here, is this really that surprising?" Griffin chuckled. Once again, his tone was soft, playful, not hard and booming like it was at the castle.
As Merline neared him he pulled her into his arms.
"Where's the boy?" Griffin asked, leaning his head in the crook of her neck.
"He has a name you know." She smirked.
"Yeah, one that he keeps forgetting." Heather laughed causing Griffin to lose the smile from his face.
"I know his name, I'm the one who named him." He grumbled.
"Technically, I named him and you just authorized it." Heather gave a crooked smile, glancing at them before going back to baby-me.
"I like to think of it more as you suggesting." Griffin scowled at her and got a glare in return.
"Merlin's at my mother's, he's fine, dot worry." Merline rubbed one of the arms that were wrapped around her waist.
Suddenly, a knock at the door made them freeze.
"Oh no.." Merline mumbled.
"Heather-?"
"I didn't invite anyone else." She muttered, her stance changing so she was ready if she needed to fight. "Griffin, Merline, take Piper and go upstairs." She ordered.
"What about you?" Griffin asked.
"I'm gonna see who that was." She opened a double chest that was next to the couch and pulled out a baseball bat.
"Heather-"
"I'll be fine, bird-dog." Heather smiled weakly as she used the nickname. "Now go." All too soon it dropped and, with one last glance at her, was dragged away by Merline who now had baby-me in one arm.
