A/N: Hey, I'm on a roll with these updates! But school starts tomorrow and it'll probably slow down after that
:(Nixie's POV:
I gripped the crutches tightly, making sure not to accidentally put weight on my leg. Turns out, there was a secret meeting room in Notch's bedroom. At least, I'm pretty sure this is the secret door to the meeting room.
"Nixie you can't be in here!" Sav scolded me but I shushed her.
"Look!" I whisper shouted, pointing at the door.
"Is that..?" Remeer trailed off.
"No clue, for all we no it could be a death trap..." I paused and smirked. "What're we waiting for?!"
"Wait, ugh. Nix!"
I laughed as they groaned and ran after me. The door was a classic secret passage behind the bookcase. Except, to open it you had to pull a torch and not a book. It was dark, but at the end I could see a faint line of light.
"Uh- watch it!" I whispered to the person who bumped into me.
"Sorry, tripped." Remeer apologized.
"Keep moving, and quiet." Sav silenced us. "Of we're doing this we're doing this right."
"Couldn't have said it better myself." Still smirking, I crept up to the end, which just happened to be a door. Peeking through, I saw a standard meeting room. Long table, lots of chairs, whiteboards and a map of multiple different regions in the center of the table.
"It's what we always do, lead the danger away from the mitings," It was Bod.
"Mitings?" Jeb's voice came next.
"He means the kids." Evie spoke then.
"I'm going in," I whispered to Sav and Remeer, I almost thought they didn't hear me.
"Nixie don't you dare-"
Almost.
Naturally, I didn't listen.
It was a risk I was willing to take. I carefully opened the door and shut my eyes when the light poured in. Everyone was either sitting in front of the table with their backs to us, on the sides of the table, or standing in a way they couldn't see us. Notch was pacing at the front of the table, the side furthest from us, Evie was sitting in the side closest to us, Line was on the side and the side if the table next to Evie was empty. Jeb was leaning against the wall next to Notch one the upper left corner of the room with Steve next to him. Bod was standing, his arms on the table holding him up, in between Evie and Line. Griffin was the only one who was facing out direction. He was sitting next to where Notch was pacing.
Lucky for us, he had his head propped up in his hand, which seemed to be massaging his temple at the same time. He looked completely frustrated, nothing new, so he was glaring at the people around him and not looking at us.
They were all to the left so I slipped in and went right, staying low. I lifted my crutches off the ground so I didn't make noise. I hid them behind and pillar and snuck over to the upper right corner where there were a bunch of crates to hide behind. Sav came in after me, sharing my hiding place. Remeer meanwhile, after we kicked out of our place since there was no room and he was too tall, had to settle for behind the pillar.
