Piper's POV:

We spent the rest of the night talking for hours on end. It felt nice to be able to talk to someone who understood just how cruel Rosalyn could be. I never wanted to worry Micha, but with Morgan, both of us had a silent agreement.

It's in the past. Worrying over the other person now won't do anything.

At about One in the morning, Morgan had told me about how Iris was in charge of the laundry, and how annoyed she could get when people didn't bother putting their clothes in the basket. Since my hoodie was getting dirty, and apparently Iris was scary when she got mad, I snuck downstairs and put my hoodie away, leaving me in my black t-shirt.

It was around sunrise and the two of us were laughing as loudly as we could without waking anyone. What we were laughing about, I don't exactly remember.

What I do remember, however, was that around that time a conch shell sounded from outside. Both immediately stopped laughing and froze.

Morgan slowly met my eyes, fear clear in hers.

"You don't think..?"

She's heard it before too.

We got off our beds and ran to the window, opening it and sticking our heads out.

Nothing.

That's what it seemed, at least.

Birds flew out of the trees squawking, and I noticed something move in the forest line. People were crouched, hiding in the shadows of the trees. More people started coming out of the forest, Rebel troops marching to the House. I didn't know how many there were, but I was sure of one thing.

This time, there was a whole lot more than ten.

"Crap! Damn it, how did they find us?!" Morgan backed up, letting out shouts of swears not caring who would hear her.

"Morgan, what do we do?!" This is not happening, not again, things were finally going good.

"Uh.. Uh.. Okay! Okay.." She took a deep breath. "I'll go wake everyone up. Grab whatever you can as a weapon and meet me downstairs." Her hand went down to make sure her mysterious pouch was still on her before running out the door. I went in the hall and called out to her.

"What about you?!"

"I've got this, remember?" She called back, holding up her wand before disappearing around the turn. I went back to the room and grabbed my sheath. After some struggle, I managed to get it on under my shirt and slipped the other sheath and quiver around my waist.

A loud crash and shouts came from downstairs, so I ran.

Speeding down the halls and taking the stairs two at a time, jumping over the last three, I finally reached the last staircase.

"Where is she?!" A deep voice yelled, causing me to stop. I carefully crept to the railing and kneeled on the staircase, peeking between the bars.

Divina and Kelly were the first two I noticed, they were curled up into balls into the corner of the room, rocking back and forth. It was a sad sight, really. Paige was shaking with wide eyes and Iris was glaring, but you could see she was still scared. Elektra's fist were curled up and her knuckles were white. Considering there was a smashed camera laying a few feet away on the ground, it didn't take a genius to figure she was mad. Faye and Kitty had a similar expression.

Pepper was holding Sadei's hand, both sticking close together, while Kaz and Kennedy were behind them.

Finally, Oakland stood in front of them all, Ziggy right behind him and Morgan in line with her off to the side. Those three were the only ones standing in between the two Rebels and the Residents.
