Quinn's POV (A/N: Hey, that's another new one.):

"And now I'm deaf." Echo shook her head, still trying to recover from her brother's high-pitched scream.

"How do you still manage to scream like a girl? Even I don't sound like a girl when I scream." Ace rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, and didn't your voice crack already?" Donnie nodded.

"Guys! Maybe we should worry less about Eli's girly voice-"

"Hey!"

"-And more about, oh I don't know, how about THE FACT THAT WE'RE ABOUT TO BE SLAUGHTERED!" Merlin screamed at us.

"Told ya' we should've followed Savannah." I said over my shoulder. We - and by we I mean Echo - had decided to follow the sound we had heard while Savannah argued and told us the trail of footprints and broken branches was more reliable. I agreed with her but Echo said she was 'sure' what she heard was Piper.

It wasn't.

Savannah ignored her and followed the trail while Remeer chased after her. So now here we were, cornered at the bottom of a cliff, surrounded by Rebels. It was a group from the army who were still getting back to their base when we found them. And just out luck, they recognized Echo, Ace, Eli, Donnie and I as Notch, Jeb and Steve's children. They whispered to each other, planning what to do with us. They were too far away for us to hear unless they shouted, but they had their eyes glued to us and blocked off all exit points. We really were trapped.

"Who here has weapons?" Eli mumbled to us.

"My spear's in the room." Ace huffed.

"And my axe." Echo groaned.

"I left my sword in my father's room." I responded, regretting not going and getting it before leaving.

"I got teeth and claws." Donnie opened her mouth to reveal her sharp teeth, then lifted a hand to show her nails had grown longer and turned black- like an actual fox.

"I got magic." Merlin quickly said after. We all turned to look at him and he glanced over his shoulder. "What?" He turned back to us. "Is there something behind me?"

"No, you dip," Ace whacked his arm. "You've got magic. Do something, idiot!" Just as she said that, two of the Rebels walked into the forest while the other two kept watching.

"Hey, they're leaving! We're saved!" Eli whisper shouted.

"If they're leaving they're most likely going to get more Rebels to help decide what to do with us. So actually, no we are not saved, the complete opposite of that." I stated.

"So about that magic?" Echo turned back to Merlin.

"Right." He nodded and started looking around for ways he could cast a spell undetected.

Piper's POV:

"I just thought of something." Remeer said as we ran through the forest, dodging branches and trees.

"Not the time." Sav jumped over a root sticking out of the ground while I ducked under another branch.

"But this is important." He objected.

"Fine, but make it quick." I climbed up onto a rock ledge that led to the rest of woods. Standing, I scanned the surroundings trying to figure out where to go. Clyde floated up next to me as Sav walked a little further.

"Well," Remeer started, pushing himself up on the rock. "If we're out here, and Echo and the rest of the residents are somewhere in this forest-" He was cut off by a loud crash.
