A/N: Okay, so I had an idea.
The only way I can normally write stories about the past is through Piper's visions, but I don't want the whole book to just be visions, so.. Ta da!
Side stories!
I wanna eventually make a book for side stories because I have a bunch of ideas for stories about Griffin and Heather, the Safe House residents,
Sav, Remeer & Nix, I even have an idea for a story about the Queen (Echo's mom) so... Yeah, that might be a thing somewhere down the line.
But for now, we bring you back to the Safe House-
Piper's POV:
I turned the corner, slamming into something as I did. I held my arms out to grab the person, stabilizing both of us.
"Micha?"
She shook her head and grinned.
"Hey, Sis!"
"Where are you off to?" I asked.
"I heard Eli and Merlin shouting, and.. I smelled rain from the attic. I don't know how rain could've got I there."
I tensed and looked around, seeing no one.
"Eli has powers." I whispered to her.
"What?!" She perked up.
"He can control the weather."
"Does Echo know?"
"Nobody does," I shook my head. "Only Merl and I. It just happened a few minutes ago."
"ETHAN!"
"That's Merl.." I whipped my head around.
"And that's Eli's cover name." We both sighed.
"First floor." Saying it at the same time, we both ran down the steps skipping every few until we reached the bottom. I couldn't see Eli or Merl, but I could see Echo and Kennedy about to go at each other's throats.
"What's the matter, freak?" He smirked.
"Nothing, just appreciating how I was lucky enough to be born with a brain." She narrowed her eyes at him.
"You're a freak of nature, admit it."
"I feel sorry for Kaz and Merlin, they have deal with you as a roommate." A voice came from the doorway and I turned to see Oakland with his arms crossed.
He does not look happy.
"But, c'mon Oak!" Kennedy raised his hands in mock surrender. "Look at her. One blue eye, one purple. It's unnatural." A slam sounded in the room and I realized Oakland slammed his fist into the pool table, catching the attention of Morgan, Divina and Kelly who were- until now -ignoring us as they continued their game.
"Darwin, I'd advise you to not insult people for something they are born with. It's not right. If it was, I'd make fun of your ugly mug every day, but since you can't pick your face, I don't."
Kennedy's jaw dropped at the tone of this voice.
"You did the same thing for Pepper, and I'll tell you exactly what I said then. It's a thing that happens, look it up. But this time instead of Poliosis, it's Heterochromia. I assume your practically non-existent brain can handle that much information?" Oakland raised a brow at the shocked Darwin twin, who just nodded dumbly. "Then it's settled, goodbye." The tone in his voice showed there was no room for argument. Kennedy took the hint and ran off, while the three girls at the pool table were laughing their heads off.
