Piper's POV:
Everything was dark. The green faded away and now I was surrounded by darkness.
"Ugh, not again." I groaned. It reminded me of the 'space between in between the universe' of whatever the spirits called it. Except I could actually feel the ground. I moved to the side and my hand touched something cold and hard. Smooth stone. "Merlin?" I called out but my voice refused to go louder than a whisper. I slowly turned around to get a better look of my surroundings, my eyes were finally adjusting to the darkness, when, once again, I came face to face with a pair of pale green eyes. Merlin.
"Hey!"
"AH!" I screamed and fell back. Merlin teleported and caught me before I hit the ground, though.
"Woah, you okay?" I shook him off and got to my feet.
"No. What the nether Merl, you scared me!" I glared at him.
"Oh, sorry!"
"Where did you teleport me to?" I looked around but still couldn't see much.
"I'll tell you, but first I should probably light this place up." He held up his staff and a lime green trail zipped along the sides. Lighting up each of the torches that were hung up on the walls. Now I could see that we were in some sort of tunnel. "These are the catacombs." He explained and started walking. I followed. "They're underneath the castle."
"Okay, but why'd you bring me here? And where are we going?" I still didn't understand.
"Well, there's something I wanted to tell you. Actually, it's more like something Notch told me and the other long-term residents, that he didn't want to tell you and your friends but Echo, Ace, Quinn, Donnie, Eli and me all decided we should without Notch knowing and-"
"Merl." I cut him off.
"Yeah?"
"Your point?"
"Oh! Right!" He smiled sheepishly. "Just gimme a second. He held up a hand as we turned the corner, coming to a dusty staircase. "After you," Merl playfully bowed.
"Oh please," I rolled my eyes and smirked. "Ladies first." I copied him.
"HEY!" He shouted. I laughed and ran up the staircase before he could get me back. We had been walking for a long time, and I started getting tired. I began leaning sideways without realizing and ended up squishing Merlin between me and the wall. "Oof! Uh Piper?"
"Hmm?" I responded, my eyes drooping.
"I'm kind of squished here."
"I know." I smiled. "I didn't get much sleep last night."
"So what do you want me to do? Carry you?" I managed to crack on eye open and grinned at him. "How am I supposed to do that exactly?"
"Hmm." I nodded my head towards the staff. I was struggling to stay awake. He sighed and glance at my sleepy state.
"Alright, c'mere." I felt my feet rise above the ground and lightly into someone's arms. "Heh, you're so.." Merlin said something I couldn't make out as I slowly started to slip into unconsciousness.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Darkness. Darkness surrounded me as far as the eye could see. I turned in a full circle and sighed.
"Why does this keep happening to me?" I groaned . "Ah well, third time's the charm. Where am I now? Spirits? Merl?" I called out but nothing happened.
