A/N: Oh my god, this is it. We're at the end of their stay at the Safe House. I wonder where they'll end up next...

This is 4000 words, so make sure you're comfy, this chap will be long.

And will probably have a lot of mistakes but I'm really tired so I'll fix it later. (Hopefully)

Merlin's POV (A/N: Yup, we're doing this right now.):

I paced the attic, pulling on my hair in frustration. I didn't sleep in my room last night, knowing that would either lead to an argument, or just be awkward in general. So, I slept in the attic. Remeer and Eli were able to have a decent conversation with Sadei, they were fine.

Why did I have to get stuck with the jerks?

Well, Piper did have to share a room with Morgan.

There was a pang in my heart as I thought about her name. I hit myself on the head and groaned, rubbing my hands on my face in an attempt to wake up some more.

What was I thinking?! Sure, she may be gorgeous... and her purple cloak really suits her.. and her hair-

No, no, we've been over this brain, stop it!

Heh, I really am useless. I couldn't even go after Piper yesterday. She disappeared and now I don't know where she is.

Some best friend I am, I clicked my tongue bitterly.

I sighed heavily, great, now I messed up my hair, I thought as I looked at my reflection in the gem of my staff.

I look like the dead. I chuckled. Throwing on my hat to cover it up, I shook my head.

Okay, you can do this. Just go find her and check if she's okay.

I opened the attic stairs and climbed down, walking towards the hallway where her room was.

As I turned the corner, a blur of grey ran past me.

"Wh- Piper?!" I called after her.

"Not now Merl, I have to talk to Rodney about his possibly dead friend!" She shouted over her shoulder, never slowing down.

"Good luck!" I yelled back, despite not having any idea what was going on. "Wait a minute.. Who's Rodney?!" But she was gone. I raced after her down the stairs, hoping she had gone to the first floor. But all I saw was Morgan going in the direction of Oakland's office.

Please don't see me, please don't see me, please don't-

"Oh. Hi Morgan." I internally cursed when she spotted me.

"Hey Merlin." She tried to smile but it came out as a grimace. We stood there quietly before I couldn't take it anymore.

"Welp, see ya'!"

"I need to go.. do something-" Both of us said our excuses and left; she continued on her way to the office and I went back upstairs.

I'll just hide here until Piper comes.

I thought about the Battle for the Safe House yesterday. At least, that's what Ace and Nixie had been calling it. Morgan had helped Piper. I didn't know the full details, but apparently after we had gotten separated- and I had freaked out running around trying to find her- Morgan had saved her with a makeshift flamethrower.

Now, I was grateful for that, really, I was. But I still couldn't get the day before that out of my head. She seemed so tense when I gave her the bracelet, she almost looked... guilty knowing what Divina and Kelly were about to do.
