Piper's POV:

Nobody bothered me for the whole day. Then again, nobody knew where I was.

Morgan might have, but if she did, she let me be.

I sighed, leaning against the wall.

I can't stay in here forever. The Rebels tracked me, me being here endangered everybody.

Opening my eyes, I finally made my decision.

I know what I have to do.

Wiping away my tears, I stood up. Unlocking the door telepathically, I peeked outside. Surprisingly enough, my sword was set up against the wall, along with my bow and quiver. The quiver was even full of arrows.

If someone knew I was here, they still didn't bother me.

Micha couldn't have remembered exactly where my closet was...

Thanks, Morgan.

Once I had picked up everything and returned them to the right sheaths, I crept down the hall. My boots were silent against the wooden floor boards and I was extra careful not to step on any that looked like it would creak.

Once I got to my room, I slowly opened the door. Morgan lay curled up in bed, her eyes shut tight. It didn't looked relaxed, like it would be when you're asleep, but forced.

Why is she pretending to be asleep again? I swear she did this the last time too. Why is she never sleeping?

Ignoring it, I kneeled down and retrieved my bag from under my bed. I tucked the book inside and stood up, contemplating on whether or not I should take my blanket or not.

No.. If someone new comes to the Safe House, I don't want them to be missing any.

My hoodie had been neatly folded on my bed, completely clean. Even the tears and blood stains were gone. I silently thanked Iris and pulled it on.

So, with one last glance at Morgan, I left.

I had just reached the staircase when a voice stopped me.

"Piper?"

I froze, not making a sound.

"Piper.. You're leaving, aren't you?" I turned to see my Sister halfway down the hall.

"I-" My words faltered. "I have to, Mich.. They're after me. All I have in life are my friends and family. Nothing else. If leaving keeps them safe, keeps you safe, then count me gone."

"But what about the plan?" She asked, walking closer to me. "We were supposed to run, wait until everything blew over and then go back home. Back to Bob and Lenny."

I sighed, turning away and continuing down the staircase. "I don't..."

"Then... I'm coming with you."

"What?" I spun around, only to see Micha with her bag around her shoulder. "We stick together, remember?"

Sighing, I furrowed my eyebrows.

"You sure, Sis? This'll be even more dangerous than it is traveling now."

She nodded rapidly. "We're born survivors, we got this! Besides, I can fight now. You saw me, right?!" Micha exclaimed a bit too loudly,

"Keep it down." I whispered, smiling at her. "C'mon." I nodded my head at the door and snuck downstairs, Micha right behind me. Just as I reached out to touch the door, I was once again interrupted.
