A/N: I changed my mind. I'm dropping the 'adding youtubers' idea because I honestly don't know how I'd pull it off.
Piper's POV:
SNAP!
Immediately I stopped and scanned the direction the noise came from. My fingers brushed over my bow. I heard Remeer unsheathe his sword and take out his shield, he was right behind me. Remeer and I gingerly walked closer to where the sound came from but we found nothing. We walked back to the fire to tell the girls it was probably just the wind when-
SNAP!
My reflexes got the best of me. I whipped around, drew back my bow and shot an arrow in just a few seconds. The faint sound of whimpering could be heard and I saw a tail poking out from one of the trees. The arrow had just missed it.
"False alarm, it's just a fox." I said, putting my weapon down.
"Not just a fox." Micha walked up to us along with the others. She got closer to the creature and calmed it down. "Don't worry, they're not going to hurt you. I should know." Micha giggled and showed her ears and tail. Slowly, the fox came out and turned into a girl. The girl had dirty blonde hair that went up to her shoulders, honey brown fox ears and tail, and light mint green eyes. She looked about the same age as Micha.
"You're a hybrid too? And they're not going to hurt you?" She warily looked
at me, Remeer, Sav, and Nix. I stepped forward and put my arm around Micha.
"I wouldn't let ANYONE hurt her. She's my sister after all. I'm Piper. This is Micha, Savannah, Nixie and the dingus over there is Remeer." I pointed to them.
"My name is Donnie. Sorry for intruding on your camp but I wandered away from my sister and her friends. I got lost." She looked down at her feet. I felt bad that I had nearly shot an innocent little girl so I chose to help her.
"Do you know where you live?" I walked up to Donnie to try and comfort her when I felt someone grab my arm. Instantly, I sensed something was wrong and pinned the person on the ground with my sword to their neck. It was a girl my age. She had brown to red ombré hair and mismatched coloured eyes. One of them was dark blue while the other was a dark purple.
"ECHO!" Donnie shrieked and ran up to her.
"You know her?" I asked, not taking my eyes off the person under my blade.
"That's my sister!" Donnie explained. Soon after I sheathed my sword and helped her up, a third girl came out the forest and came over to me and Donnie.
"Your sister's a hybrid? Well that's one thing we've got in common. I'm Piper."
"Name's Echo and that over there is Ace." Echo gestured to the third girl. Her light brown hair was in a high ponytail and she looked very tom-boyish. "We went out exploring and Donnie wandered away. I came looking for her and stumbled upon this place." Echo continued.
"Then I had to go after the BOTH of you. Seriously! I leave you alone for one second and you get a sword held to your neck!" Ace crossed her arms. She raised her eyebrow. "What are you doing out here, anyway?" All of us kept silent. It was too much to explain the 'Jack incident' so I came up with an idea.
"The village we were in found out Micha was a wolf hybrid so we had to leave. Our family couldn't exactly come with so we're on our own." Technically, I didn't lie. I just didn't tell the whole truth.
"You could come with us if you need
a place to stay." Echo suggested.
"Really?" Sav smiled.
"Why not? Donnie and Micha seem to be getting along." Ace pointed at them. They were in their animal forms (Micha as a wolf and Donnie as a fox) and were chasing each other around the clearing. It was adorable watching them play.
"So what'd you say?" Echo snapped me out of my thoughts. My friends exchanged looks.
"Piper?" Savannah, Nixie and Remeer asked in unison. I turned to them.
"What are we waiting for?! LET'S GET OUTTA HERE!"
A/N: Sorry for the shorter chapter today but I had a little bit of writers block when writing this so it took me the whole day. I'm really tired but I'll try to get the chapters done earlier tomorrow. Hope you guys understand.
