Piper's POV:
"Whaddaya want Roxy?" I sighed. The stuck-up ginger stood in front of me.
"I want to know why you and your pathetic sister are at a party like this." She spat. I turned to Micha to see how she was doing. She was hiding behind Sav and Nixie who comforting her. Remeer just glared at Roxy. Micha must've still been scared after that witch and her fashionista goons hurt her.
"They're here because we invited them, although I don't remember inviting barbie doll with a black eye. Do you Nix?" Remeer step forward to her making Roxy back away with every word. Then turned to Nixie.
"Nope, but I'm glad you came. Now, I'm really looking forward to introducing your other eye, to my fist. Wouldn't want them to be uneven do we?" Nixie mimicked the fake smile Roxy would always give us. She growled but then looked at me. I realized she was eyeing my necklace. Before I could make a move she lunged for it and yanked it off my neck. It was hard enough for it to unhook but not so hard that it broke. Before I knew it she was inspecting the nether star with an evil sneer on her face.
"This is so pretty. A loser like you isn't fit to have it. Don't worry with me it's in good hands."
"GIVE THAT BACK MY DAD GAVE THAT TO ME!!!" I screamed at her.
"Oh I'm sure '~Daddy~' can get a new one for you." she smirked.
"NO HE CAN'T I DON'T KNOW WHERE HE IS!" The memories were flashing in my mind again. I didn't know whether I was going to break down in tears, or give Roxy another black eye. Either way, I tried to keep my composure. I snatched the necklace back and made sure my grip was so tight, she could't grab it back.
"So you mean your mom wouldn't get another for you." Roxy fake-gasped. "Shocking-not- guess she just doesn't love you enough. Your family is SO sad."
"MY MOTHER IS DEAD." She was pushing me to far. Silence filled the air. I shouted that. And it was very loud. Everyone had heard it and was now staring. I could feel the eyes watching. Waiting for what would happen next.
"Oh. So what are you, an orphan? That sucks, FOR YOU! HAHAHA." She cackled. I pretty much lost it after that. I grabbed her by collar of her jacket, rising above the ground little and glared daggers at her.
"Never and I mean NEVER insult my family like that again. You think this is funny? How'd you like it if you were a one year old, who was surrounded by flames. And the one person who you loved enough to dare call 'Mom' was trapped inside of those flames. Imagine one of your fist memories being of hearing her screams of agony and suffering. Knowing she was being burned alive. All because she protected you. You didn't grow up in an orphanage where they beat you and locked in closets and starved you all day, every day. You have a family who gives you everything you want. I had to look after myself and Micha, until we found a home. I've heard your complaints in school. You call it 'torture' when a lesson is boring. You say you are 'suffering' when you don't get what you want. Truth is, you don't know the meaning of those words until you are traumatised by nightmares of everyone around you dying. Nightmares that are real. That have happened. Every time I close my eyes I see flashes of murder. I have gone through the nether, so I don't need to take insults from a naive she-devil who thinks life is nothing more than tacky dresses and being better than everyone else." I said with an intensity I never knew I had. I sounded so calm yet at the same time it was like I could've murdered her at any moment. I scared her. I glanced around and saw everyone's faces. I scared all of them. Only one thought came to mind. Run.
I dropped Roxy and ran into the forest still clutching onto the star. I heard my friends and sister call for me to come back but I just kept running.
