A/N: Ayeee! Now we got Nightmare the pega-skele horse in this! Also, I know I said they were at the castle for a week and a half but I made a mistake while typing and planning, so now they've been at the castle for three weeks.
I know, that's not professional, but I don't want to go back and fix it so I'm just saying it now. It's kind of like how I changed Donnie and Quinn's hair colour a while back. Also, I'll edit this later. (Hopefully)
Piper's POV:
"I see your horse survived." Echo smirked. I pulled Nightmare by the reins and lead her in the area. Merl was next to me.
"Her name's Nightmare." I said, tying her to the tree where the others horses were.
"Why do you get the cool horse?" Ace whined.
"Because she nearly died, that's why." Quinn rolled her eyes, taking a pencil from behind her ear and noting things down in her journal.
"Alright," Nixie stepped forward. "One, Piper never do something as stupid as that again-"
"Exactly! Do you know how reckless-"
"-without me." She finished, cutting Savannah off. Sav hit her shoulder. "And second," Nix ignored her. "We should probably start moving before the storm picks up. The sooner we get there, the bigger chance we have of- oh I don't know- not dying."
"She's right." Remeer nodded. "I don't know about you guys, but I like being in one piece."
"We're headed Northwest." Quinn took something out of her pocket, I realized it was the compass Griffin gave her. The outside of it was similar to a pocket watch, it was silver with a plain silver lid. There wasn't any chain on it, but there was something engraved on the lid. But from where I stood, I couldn't make it out.
"Thankfully we haven't been going completely in the wrong direction, we just need to go more to the West." She noted. "If only I had a map..." An idea came into my head and I reached for my rucksack, rummaging through it.
"Would this help?" I pulled out the small, random maps I had taken from Steve's treehouse.
"Well- wait.." Quinn took it from my hands. "Where did you get this..?" I tried to think of an answer but she brushed it off. "No matter, this is perfect! I think I'll be able to map our coordinates, that way if we ever have to go back we'll know the way." She ran of to where her stuff was propped up against a tree and sat down. The rest dispersed and I was left standing there with Micha.
"Hey, Pipe," She started. "Did you notice how we haven't seen any mobs and it's nearly sunrise?" Micha seemed a bit on edge.
"Actually, yeah.." I nodded. "It's strange, to say the least."
"Do you think we'll ever see them again?" Her ears dropped and I immediately knew who she meant.
"Of course we will." I assured her, leading her to sit down on the grass. "Just, give it some time. According to Ghastly, things are still bad at the village." I took a seat next to her, crossing my legs.
"But what if something bad happens to them? What if the camp gets found?" She whimpered.
"I-I don't know, Mich." I put my arm around her shoulders and leaned my head on top of hers. "But all we can do right now is worry about getting to the Safe House."
