Piper's POV:
I couldn't move. They were right in front of me. I recognized them immediately. The wrinkled blue t-shirt, the dark blue pants, the scruffy brown hair and brown stubble. Then there was the guy Nixie was face-to-face with. He had a black bowler hat covering up his baldness. The only hair on his head was his thick black beard and moustache. He was wearing a worn brown shirt and gray pants. It was the brothers themselves, Notch and Steve. And I just tried to shoot them.
"*sigh* First my sister, then my brother and now my Dad. You just really don't trust my family do you?" Donnie giggled from behind me.
"Dad?" Nix asked, not taking her eyes off of Notch.
"Didn't Echo already tell you? Her and Eli are Notch's kids and he adopted me." She smiled like it was obvious. I let go of Steve and my jaw clenched.
"Heh, sorry about that." Nixie smiled sheepishly and backed up.
"Hey, Piper, are you okay?" Savannah and Remeer stepped forward, still partially in shock of what just happened.
"Uh oh," Micha backed up and transformed. "You might want to cover your ears."
"Huh why-?" Remeer tried to ask.
"Just do it!" Her wolf ears shrank back into her head and she covered Donnie's fox ones. Nix, Sav and Remeer reluctantly obliged. But it's a good thing they did.
"EHCOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!" I screamed so loud I heard the sound of birds scatter. All of a sudden, a warping sound came from behind me. I turned to see a blue floating portal and Merlin jumped out of it, staff ready.
"What happened? I swear if it's those rebels again- LET ME AT 'EM! LET ME AT 'EM!" He swung his fists around like he was boxing. Echo was next followed by Eli.
"Rebels? I heard Rebels. WHERE ARE THEY!" She started getting riled up. Somehow none of them had noticed Notch and Steve. I unsheathed my sword and sent it hurdling toward Merlin's hat. The sword pierced into the wall and his hat was literally hanging by a thread from it. It may have been unnecessary, but it sure as heck got their attention. "Rude." He grumbled, swiped the hat away from the sword and plopped it back on his head.
"Care to explain?" I opened my arm and gestured to our guests hanging from the wall. All three of their faces dropped when they saw them.
"Oh. You're back already?" Echo rubbed the back of her neck.
"Heeey Dad.." Eli waved sheepishly.
"Glad to have ya back!" Merl smiled. The other two looked at him, despicably. He just shrugged. "It was your idea. Just because you messed up doesn't mean I'm gonna suffer for it.Give them what they deserve Pipe." He tried to walk past me but I grabbed him by the back of his robe.
"Sure. Starting with you." I glared him. He cursed under his breath and walked back to the others.
"*sigh* Donnie, go get Quinn and Ace. I am NOT going to say this twice." Echo looked at her and she nodded before running into the castle.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notch and Steve were both back on the ground. Echo, Donnie, Eli, Quinn, Ace and Merlin were lined up side by side and Evie had come out as well. Echo had just explained everything, including telling Notch and Steve who we were and why we were here, and I was trying to wrap my head around it.
"Okay, let me get this straight." I stopped pacing and turned to face them. "Your Dad is Notch," I looked at Echo, Donnie and Eli. "Your Dad is Steve," I turned to Quinn. "Your Dad is the equivalent of a royal sorcerer," I pointed to Merl. "And as for you.." I stepped towards Ace, who actually hadn't told me her story yet. Although, I was pretty sure I knew who her Dad was.
