The Mark Of the Nether (A Minecraft fanfiction)

The Little Wizard

Piper's POV:

I ran out of the tunnel and Remeer closed it behind me.

"Over there!" Micha ran across the courtyard and followed the sound of crashes and yells. We stopped when we saw Eli, floating in mid air. There was also another boy, who looked to be the same age as Remeer. He was wearing a dark blue robe with golden serpents sewn around the hem. He was also holding a wooden staff that spiraled off at the end with a green gemstone in the center of it. The boy had chocolate brown hair and pale green eyes. On his head sat a pointed wizard hat that matched his robe. He had his arm extended and was laughing.

"That's whatcha get!"  He shouted at Eli.

"What the..?" Nixie looked at me.

"I have no idea. Let me handle this." I snuck up behind the little wizard and tackled him.

"AAAHH! ACE I SWEAR-" He stopped once he looked up at me. "Who are you?"

"I could you the same question." I said with a straight face.

"Piper get off of him, he's a friend. And Merlin, WILL YA' LET ME DOWN ALREADY!?" Eli said, frustrated.

"Fine." We both sighed. After I let him go he dusted himself off and put Eli down.

"Hi! I'm Merlin, the sorcerer's son and his apprentice." He introduced himself.

"Wait, pfft, so your're a wizard named 'MERLIN'?" Nixie struggled to hold in her laugh.

"Nixie! Be nice." Sav scolded her. "Nice to meet you Merlin. I'm Savannah, but you can call me Sav. The ANNOYING GIRL next to me is Nixie, then that's Remeer, Micha and the girl who pinned you down earlier was Micha's sister."

"Piper." I finished for her. "So Merlin, can I call you Merl," I swung my arm over his shoulders.

"Please don't-"

"So Merl," I interrupted him. "I didn't know a sorcerer lived in the castle. Why would there be one here anyways?"

"Umm. Didn't you know? Echo's dad is-"

"FRIENDS WITH MERLIN'S FATHER!" Eli cut him off. "Yeah. Me, Ace, Quinn, Echo, Donnie, Merlin, all of our parent our friends."

"What are you- Oh. OH YEAH! They're all close so when his Dad got this place, he let the rest of us move in." Merlin smiled nervously. I felt like there was something he wasn't telling me but I quickly shook my doubts away.

"Okay. But mind telling us what the heck you guys were doing out here? We heard screams from all the way inside the castle." Remeer questioned them.

"Oh that well earlier today ELI MESSED UP A VERY IMPORTANT POTION I WAS MAKING." Merl glared at him.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. We get it. I'm a pain in the neck. Can we move on already?" Eli groaned.

"As payback I threw him around the training grounds like a ping pong ball." Merlin ignored him. "Hey wait a minute.." He spotted my sword and then his eyes quickly darted over to my bow. "Mind if I take a look at that?"

"Uhh sure. Just be careful, please? My dad gave that to me." I handed him the sword. His eyes widened as he examined it.

"Woah. Do you know how rare this thing is!" Merlin exclaimed. "This a Shadowsteel broadsword infused with Wither Amethyst. You can only get this in the nether!" 

"And..?" I looked at him, expectantly.

"AND?! THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL SWORDS OUT THER!" Merlin realized he was freaking out and calmed down. "Um. Ahem. Sorry about that. Here." He gave it back to me and I sheathed it.

"Thanks. Anyway, we should probably get going. I still feel lightheaded." I mumbled the last part, thinking they couldn't here me. I was wrong.

"Lightheaded? Did something happen?" Eli put his hand on my forehead.

"Oh, don't worry about it. I just tripped and hit my head." I lied. He looked at me questionably before shrugging.

"Well,  then we shouldn't keep you here. See you later." Eli smiled and Merl waved.

"Yeah, Cya!" I said and left with the others.

A/N: I AM SO SORRY THIS CHAPTER IS REALLY SHORT BUT I'VE BEEN HAVING A LOT OF WIRTER'S BLOCK RECENTLY SO I THOUGHT IT'S BETTER TO POST A SHORT CHAPTER THEN NONE AT ALL AND I JUST REALIZED MY CAPS LOCK IS ON. Oops. Heh. But hopefully I will get more ideas for this book soon.
