Piper's POV (A/N:Honestly, when have I ever started a chapter with anyone's POV other than her?):

(A fews days later time skip brought to you by Earl the dungeon beast)

Micha and Donnie were messing around in the courtyard outside of the castle, Quinn was watching them. Remeer, Nixie and Ace were busy playing video games and, last I checked, Echo was with her brother in the training grounds. Everyone was occupied so I decided to retreat to my room. When I opened the door, however, I saw I wasn't the only one who had that idea. Sav was sitting in the bay window, which overlooked the training grounds. I came up behind her and realized what she was staring at. Echo and Eli. They were arguing and without warning, Eli picked her up. They were both laughing and she was screaming for him to let her go. They may argue a lot, but at the end of the day, they were a brother and sister who loved each other. Sav had a faraway expression that looked a bit pained.

"Savannah?" I brought her out of her thoughts.

"Oh! Piper. When did you get here?" She asked, occasionally glancing back at the window.

"Just now. Are you okay?"

"Oh yeah, just, Thinking about my dad." She shrugged. I knew there was more to it than that. Then I had a thought.

"You were staring at Echo and Eli. Does this has something to do with that outburst you had when we were saying bye to Bob and Lenny?"

"..." She kept quiet.

"Sav, I'm your friend. If something's bothering you I can help." I sat next to her and put a hand on her knee.

"Not with this." She bluntly stated. I gave her a questionable look and she sighed. "I told you about my family. But I left out a part of that story."

"What?"

"I have a brother. Well, I had a brother. He was 4 years older than, his name was Jason. "

"Wait. What do you mean you HAD a brother."

"*sigh* One night, my Dad came home. As usual he was drunk but that night he was mad too. He got into a bar fight and got kicked out. I was only five and Jason was 8, nearly 9. My dad would try to hit me and sometimes hurt me but Jason made sure he never layed a finger on me. He was a good brother. Even when my dad started drinking after my mom died and then he started abusing us, Jason still managed to keep a smile on my face. How he did it I will never know." She chuckled. Savannah's voice was hoarse and her eyes were tearing up a little. I kept quiet, not wanting her to go on if it hurt her, yet interested in hearing what happened. "Anyway,*sniff* that night when my dad came home. I was downstairs, so he took out his anger on me. Jason stepped in and my dad was furious but when he tried to hit him Jason grabbed his arm. 'No.' he said. 'I won't let you hurt us anymore. I won't let you hurt HER anymore.' I was hiding at the top of the stairs. When my father spotted me I ran into my room. After a while, I expected Jason to come into my room and comfort me, like he did every night. But nobody came. I carefully opened the door and heard shouting and crashes and glass shattering. My father and Jason were in the attic. I knew because the pull out ladder was down. The attic was where he went to clear his head. Especially after incidents with Dad. I hid in the shadows when my Dad came down the staircase. I waited there, completely still, waiting for Jason to come down as well but he never did. I gathered up the courage to climb the ladder and went into the attic. What I saw horrified me. My father he-he" She was struggling to say words with tears streaming down her face.

"You don't have to-" I tried to tell her but she interrupted me.

"No. I do. You and Micha can trust me, I can trust you. There was blood everywhere. The window was shattered and there was a trail of blood leading out of it. I prayed that it wasn't his but in the center of the room I found his scarf. It was bloody and torn. My dad must have beaten Jason hard. I think Jason tried to escape out the window and make a run for it into the woods, but he was too injured. He either wouldn't have survived the 3 story drop or bled to death in the forest. My father murdered my brother. The worst thing is, he didn't even know he killed Jason. The next day he assumed he ran away and left me. He always did call him a worthless brother. We lied when I said my Dad let Nixie and Remeer stay with me. He never even knew. My dad is dangerous to be around when he's drunk. That's why we practically lived in the Library. It's just, seeing those two down there," She looked back at the window. "Reminds me of the good times with MY brother and how it's MY fault he's dead."

"How is that your fault? If anything it's your Father's!" I was getting angry just thinking about him. I swear to notch if I ever lay eyes on him, he's gonna get it.

"If I had stayed by him that night instead of running away like a coward, he might've been   alive-"

"And you may be dead. If Jason truly was a good brother he wouldn't want you to think that it's your fault."

"He was the last family I had who actually cared about me and now he's gone." She was fully crying now so I wrapped in a hug.

"That's a lie. You have family who care's about you. Us. Micha looks up to you, Nixie treats you like a sister, Heck, even the spiders and skeletons think you're the sweetest out of all of us. And you can always count on me. We're all like your family."

"Except for one person." Sav blurted out. I stopped hugging her and looked her in the eye.

"What do you mean by that?" She bit her lip and hung her head.

"Well, there's someone I care about who I don't consider family but.. something else." She was blushing.

"And, who might that be?" I smirked, already knowing the answer. Before she could open her mouth the door burst open. Remeer, Nixie and Micha walked in.

"There you guys are!" Remeer smiled. Savannah's blush got even darker, which I didn't think was possible. "Uh Sav? You okay? I think you're sick, your face is completely red."

"Y-Yeah, I-I'm f-f-fine!" She hid her face in the scarf around her neck.

"What'd you need?" I asked them.

"We were thinking.." Nixie stepped forward. "about the day we left the village. When you got mad at Jack, lots of things were happening. Rocks were floating, the ground was shaking and cracking, so, maybe that's a result of you having more than two powers."

"Did you bring the book?" Micha sat on the couch.

"'course!" I ran to my bag and grabbed the book from the Library. "Why?"

"Today's the first day at the castle that everyone's busy. Ace left to go talk to Evie and when I left Donnie was playing with Quinn. So we thought it would be good to do more research on the book. Maybe you could even learn to control the levitating thing."

"That would help a little, but remember what the book said?" I opened it up. "I can't always control my powers. ESPECIALLY when I'm angry. But it wouldn't hurt to try. What's the worst that could happen?"

"You could accidentally open up a sinkhole and fall through or end up killing something in a blind fit of rage." Nixie said, happily.

"Wait what now?"

"Great! We'll see downstairs. There's this secluded area of the garden where we can go. I even found some things from the training grounds in there. Don't know why it's there but it'll come in handy." Micha chirped and skipped out the door with Nixie and Remeer following. I got up to go after them but Savannah stopped me.

"Hey, about what I told you... Don't tell Micha, alright? Remeer and Nix already know about it but your little sister. She's so sweet and that was just morbid. Y'know what they say, ignorance is bliss and all that." She twirled her hair, something she did when she was anxious.

"Don't worry. I won't." I smiled and she smiled back. "C'mon, time to play with magic."
