Piper's POV:

I rolled over, feeling sick in my stomach.

How many hours of sleep did I get last night?

We had come back and,  after the talk with the adults, been in the room by One. But I didn't get any sleep until Three.

"Two and a half hours. I got two and a half hours of sleep." I muttered, glancing at the clock. It was five thirty, we had to leave by six forty.

Finally getting up, I tiptoed over to Micha.

"Micha, Mich." I gently shook her arm.

"Mm," She groaned, turning to face me. "Piper, ugh. What time is it?" She sat up halfway.

"Five-thirty. Go on and have a shower, it'll wake you up." I told her. She nodded and got out of bed, still rubbing her eyes.

After we had been told we were leaving, we found out we had to go early so another attack wouldn't happen.

I rolled up my sleeping bag and grabbed my backpack. My sword, bow and quiver were in their usual sheath and I had stopped by Hunter before going to sleep for some more arrows.

The backpack had things like a water-canteen, some medical supplies, food, and the book. I still had the maps I took from Steve's treehouse in my pocket, too.

"All set, I see." Nixie walked over to me, her dark blue duffel bag slung around her shoulder.

"You ready for this?" I asked her.

"As I'll ever be." She nodded. We both sat by the bay window, watching the moon go down. The sun was still nowhere in sight, making it pitch black outside.

"Hey you two." Sav joined us, plopping herself next to me. Her long brown hair was put back in a braid that went down to her lower back.

'I swear, she is the reincarnation of rapunzel. Just a brunette rapunzel.'

I giggled and the two of them turned to me.

"What's so funny?" Nix raised her eyebrow, smirking.

"Just something Ghastly said." They both shared a look before snickering.

"Girls," Remeer, who had come through the door, nodded as he sat down next to Savannah.

"Boy," We greeted him back.

Finally, Micha came down the staircase and saw us. She was wearing her favourite blue wolf-themed t-shirt as usual, except she was also wearing dark green jeans. And, of course, her lucky high tops.

"Hey," She pouted when she saw there was no more room in the bay window.

"Sorry mutt, better luck next time." I chuckled at her. She scowled at me before breaking out into a grin, showing her fangs. Micha backed up before running towards us and jumping, landing on me.

I grunted with the sudden weight on me and groaned.

"Micha get off me." I tried to push her off but she wouldn't budge.

"No."

"Micha, you're heavy!" I whined. She huffed and shifted into a wolf.
