Candice POV~
To say I was nervous would be an understatement.
I was beyond nervous!
Tonight I'd have my date with Emerald and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited. I had absolutely no clue or idea as to where Emerald would take me. Or what we were going to do for that matter.
Although I would appreciate something fancy and unforgettably luxurious, I had to admit that the mere prospect of spending time with Emerald would be more than enough.
I knew how scarce time was in Emerald's life. I knew just how much effort it took her to take some time off work to spend it with Ivette- and now me.
I was flattered that Emerald would voluntarily put her job aside for our date.
For me!
I couldn't stop daydreaming about our date all day long. Something that highly annoyed Audrey, who claimed it was 'super hard to annoy me when I was spaced out'.
So Audrey didn't only live off of my drama, but she found it quite satisfactory to annoy me on a daily basis. Although I was completely immune to her pestering today. Something that pestered her.
I couldn't believe I was actually having a date with Emerald Perez. I wondered just how many girls out there would kill to be in my place right now.
I had the most gorgeous woman after me and I had finally accepted to go with her on a date.
Although Emerald was extremely loaded and high maintenance, I'd have to admit I would be disappointed if she took me somewhere extremely predictable. Like a luxurious restaurant for expensive food, or anything where she'd have to shred hundreds of dollars.
I found that too generic and completely uncalled for.
I'd much rather have her surprise me with something simple. Like a picnic or a walk along the beach. Guess I'm still that hopeless romantic that falls for the old fashioned type of details.
Anyway, it was around four in the afternoon and Emerald told me to wear something comfortable. Also, to wear something I wouldn't mind getting wet in. I didn't know whether she was serious about that last part or if she meant it in a sexual way.
Either way, I made sure to wear a bikini underneath my actual clothing.
Today had been a sunny day and there wasn't a single cloud floating in the sky. Something quite rare in the past few days, since it had been raining pretty much day and night.
I didn't want to dwell on the day's weather because it was extremely pathetic on my part. Something I tended to do whenever I was nervous. I would begin to think about the weirdest of things and I usually ended up confusing my own self.
So before any of this could continue to happen, I decided to just recheck my outfit and retouch my makeup.
I was wearing cut off jean shorts, a long white button-down that was thin enough to expose the hot pink bikini top that I had underneath and crème sandals. My otherwise wavy hair was perfectly straightened, making it appear a bit longer than it normally was. I decided on a minimum amount of makeup and opted for bright pink lipstick.
My phone then signaled an incoming message.
Limo should already be waiting for you. Don't keep me waiting for too long:) -4:28 pm
