Nancy's POV~
The first thought to cross my mind as I opened the door to whatever sh-thole I was thrown into was that I didn't want to be the stupid chick that gets caught trying to escape because of a squeaky floorboard.
Like in movies you know?
My fingers clamped around the handle of the blade I had found. If I wanted to cause any sort of damage with this thing I would have to strike with all of the force I could muster. The blade was in no way shaped to cut as much as it was ready to stab if need be.
I peered outside the doorframe, quickly glancing both ways before deciding what my next move would be. I had to be hyperalert in order to take the element of surprise to my advantage. Speed was not going to be on my side considering the physical state that I was in.
The dim hallway momentarily spun around before my eyes, swirling in a hazy trail of shadows.
I forced my eyes shut.
My head felt unmanageable. Weighted. One quick movement could send everything spinning. I opened my eyes wide next, I had to get through this daze.
I inhaled deeply, following it with a steady exhale.
I got this.
I had no idea on what the layout of this place was so I would have to wing it. Anything could pretty much be a wrong turn and Morgan was bound to be around any corner. It's not like I could avoid her. May as well face the outcome head on. I wasn't going to gain back my strength or balance any time soon but hopefully I could make do with the resources that I had in order to outwit her.
