EPILOGUE

Third Person's PoV

Only a few vampires have met Louisa. Some of them are shocked to hear the news of her sudden death. While the others are relieved. The whole kingdom stands unaffected by the tragedy, but those who were close to her thought it's best to keep it that way.

Alex has remained silent for the past couple days since they held the wake in his palace. He hasn't eaten any food nor drank water. Not an hour has gone by since they have seen him leave his wife's corpse lying in a casket decorated with roses.

She looked beautiful as ever in her white dress. The same one that she had worn in her wedding. No one was prepared for this tragedy, let alone set aside a funeral gown for the supposed future queen.

Carl sat beside his best friend, "They have the right to know."

Alex barely looked at him. Deep inside he knows that her family and closest friends should at least know what has happened to her.

"Xander?" Carl called for him, pero bigo ito. "Saglit lang. Dadalhan kita ng inumin." He didn't wait for a response. He wouldn't get one anyway.

May taimting umupo na lalaki sa tabi ni Alexander. Bahagyang tumingin sa kanya ang binata pero hindi umimik nang makilala kung sino ito.

"It's been days," aniya ng lalaki saka pinagkrus ang mga braso. Sumandal si Alex saka walang buhay na tumawa. "I warned you before to stay away from my daughter." May galit sa boses ni Liam Montecort pero inilingan lang siya ng prinsipe.

"You're mad at that?" Tumawa lalo ang prinsipe ng pasarkastiko. "It's not my fault you've impregnated a human." Alam ni Alex na walang magagawa ang pagbintang sa iba ang nangyari. Imbes na mainis lalo si Liam, tinapik niya lang ang balikat nito.

"Don't say I didn't warn you about what's to come next." Tumayo na ito. "You will regret defying my request once she's awakened." Lumingon si Liam sa gawi ng anak niya. "If she does wake up." Malungkot nitong sambit at naglaho na.

Lumipas ang gabi at wala pa ring nangyayari. Nanatili pa ring nakaupo malapit sa kabaong si Alex, inaantay na magising ang kanyang asawa.

Nagaalala na ang kanyang mga kaibigan sa sinapit ng prinsipe nila. Ilang araw na siyang umiiyak, at bihira lang siyang kumain o uminom.

"We're moving her." Ianna told his friend firmly. "Her family has the right to know."

Alex is fully aware that moving her body could pose a risk. However, considering the hectic situation they are in, transporting a dead person to another realm could endanger the mortals.

"A letter should suffice." Responde ni Alex sa kanila. Nagkatinginan ang mga magkakaibigan.

"Alex, that's not enoug-"

"That's final." Pagpuputol ni Alex kay Phoenix at tinapunan sila ng matalim na titig. Hindi na sila nakasalita at hinayaan na lang ang kanilang prinsipe para lumuksa. "She's not waking up." His voice faltered.

"She had already lost a large amount of blood before you..." hindi na naituloy ni Carl ang sinasabi niya at inakbayan na lang si Alex. "I'll ask everyone to give you space."

Lumabas na sila't iniwan magisa si Alex.

Naglakad patungo sa kabaong si Alex at tinitigan ang kagandahan ng kanyang asawa. Hinaplos nito ang pisngi ng babae't mapait na ngumiti.

"I'll be waiting for you..." bulong nito't tinamnan ng halik ang malamig na labi ni Louisa. "Even if it takes me another century, I will be waiting."
