Forgiveness -part 32

I cry until I fall asleep. Was I wrong? Will this family be the same as the others? I really thought Anthony was sweet and overprotective. I loved him so much. I still do, but now I'm scared of him.

*Anthony pov*

I don't know what i just did or why, but it was stupid. I really hope Maddie was already asleep, cause i love her so much, I don't want her to think to think that this will be like all her other homes. I write a small note and leave it on the counter.

Jazzy
I'm sorry. I was drunk and I don't know why I raised my voice, you were looking out for me. Please forgive me. I love you and Maddie and I'm just stupid. I am so so sorry.
Maddie
If you were awake last night, I'm so sorry. I don't know why I hot got drunk in the first place, it won't happen again. Really, I love you so much and I'm sorry.

I grab my key and silently slip through the door. Lin doesn't live too far from me, and he'll probably understand. God, why am I so stupid. I continue to walk down the chilly streets, nearly midnight. Almost everybody i pass is more drunk than i was when i got home, which scares me. Eventually I find myself at the Miranda- Nadal household.

I knock on the door and hear some papers rustling, then see lin open the door. "What the- ant what happened, why are you here at like, midnight?" He asks, not mad but confused. "I messed up, big time. I got drunk and yelled at Jazz, I don't know if Maddie was up or not. Can i spend the night, if it isn't any trouble." I ask, and Lin motions me in. "Sure, ant. We all make mistakes, the big deal is how you solve it. You can crash on the couch." He tells me, sweeping some papers off of it.

"Im headed to bed though, night." Lin says and walks to his room. I fall asleep pretty quickly after chugging a tall glass of water. I'd rather have to pee at 3am than be hungover when I apologize to my girlfriend and daughter. I wake up at 7 when my alarm goes off. I quickly call Maddie, but she declines it. She texts me. Not to be rude dad but talk to me when you've apologized to my mother. She says, and i respond with a kind ok, I will. I walk to the apartment and see jazz on the couch, holding the note.

"Baby, I'm sorry. Really. I'm so stupid, I don't know how I kept you for this long, you're such a wonderful girl who deserves more than me." I say. "It's alright, ant. That doesn't mean you can go get drunk again, but I forgive you." Jazz says, hugging me. "Thank you babe." I respond. This girl is too good for me. I love her. "We gotta get to the show!" Jazz says, grabbing my wrist and running out the door.

*Maddie pov*

I've been pretty quiet all day, I'm still shaken up by Anthony last night. School is filled with my thoughts, telling me that this home is different, then contradicting itself. I go to rehearsal, the last day of the week. I really just want to stay at rehearsal with my friends forever. It's just so fun, and carefree. I love it. I sadly walk out, hoping Lin or Groff or Leslie, thayne, oak, pip, reneé or Oak pick me up. I just want to confide in someone. I didn't tell Riley, I just want him not to worry about me.

I look up to see Anthony in his car, looking down and gripping the wheel with white knuckles. I walk to the car and open the door. He starts spewing words like hes on stage. "Im so sorry, hun. I'm an id-" he gets out. "Save it. Did you apologize to mom?" I ask, looking him in the eyes. "Yes. She forgave me. You were awake last night, weren't you?" He asks, worry in his eyes. I nod.

"I'm sorry. Really. I was drunk and- I don't know how to apologize. I just want you to know, this home will be different. We truly love you." He says, nearly crying. He hugs me and I hug back. "I forgive you. Thank you dad. I trust you guys." We drive back to the apartment and get ready to leave for the second show. Anthony walks off, and me and Jazz let him go.

*Anthony pov*

I texted oak, Daveed and Lin and told them to meet me in oak and my shared dressing room. "Guys, I need your help. I want to propose to Jazz."
