Walking in the Park, Long after Dark- part 24

I drive back to Anthony's apartment and fall onto the couch. Why did I leave? I don't know, I thought I'm just too much for the cast. But apparently not, they really love me. And I love them too.

*Maddie pov*

I sit up when Anthony comes and nearly sits on me. He switches the tv on and hugs me. I lean into him, and we sit there watching a recorded episode of America's go talent. Jazzy comes over part way through the episode and joins out little hug. I fall asleep in the middle of the two, and groggily open my eyes to Anthony carrying me to my bed. "Goodnight." Anthony says, kissing my forehead. "Night." I say, then close my eyes and fall asleep.

I wake up pretty early, and it's Saturday, so I take a long shower. When i get out, I had 5 texts. 3 from Riley, and 2 from Josh. "Huh. Wonder what he said." I tell myself. I put on my "history has its eyes on you" shirt and mint green shorts. I check my phone, and look at Rileys texts first.
Riley: hey, checking in
Riley: hope you're alright, sorry if youre asleep or something
Riley: I love you

He's so cute. I shoot back a quick "I'm good, I love you too." Then I look at Joshs texts.

Josh: hey, sup
Josh: oh lol soz if ur asleep
Me: I'm not, sup
Josh: not much, going to an audition later.
Me:oohhh cool, soz if i bothered you
Josh: no, just chillin
Me: k
Josh: gtg, soz
Me: no prob

Phew, I thought he was going to say he liked me, and I didn't think i could say no. Like, I love Riley, but i hate being mean. I texted Riley again.

Me: hey, I'm bored. Wanna go somewhere.
Riley: sure, where do ya wanna go?
Maddie: IDC
Riley: k brb

*Riley pov*

Maddie wanted to go somewhere, and i racked my brain for ideas. Then something popped into my head.

Me: Mr. Ramos, Maddie wants to go somewhere, where does she like??
Mr.Ramos: take her to central park. You could have a picnic or something. Shed She'd like that.
Me: ok thank you so much
Mr. Ramos: you can kiss her.
Me: thank you.

I ran around my house gathering food and blankets and other stuff. I text Maddie.

Me: I'll be over in 5 minutes 💜
Maddie: ok!💜

I walked to her apartment and she opened the door. "Ready?" I asked her and she nodded. "Are we having a picnic?" She asked, looking at the basket. "Yup. Let's go!" I said, taking her hand. We walked to central park and i quickly laid out a blanket. It was mid- November, so it was quite chilly. Maddie was shivering, so i threw an extra blanket over her.

I set down the food and we sat on the black and white checkered blanket. I hand her a sandwich and a cold water with lemon, which is her favorite drink. We chat and eat for an hour, then walk around the park. We find a little bridge as it's getting dark, and we sit there watching the sunset. Mr. Ramos said to have her home by 9:30, and it's only 7. We stay there for another half hour, talking and looking at the little river below us. At 7:45 we get up to leave.

I help her up and we stand, looking at each other, for a few seconds. Then hold her by the waist and pull her in. She looks at me, smiling, then u kiss her. We walk back to the apartment, and i have her home extra early. I really don't want Mr. Ramos to dislike me. Maddie means a lot to me. I love her.
