Running Into Hamilton

On The Town- part 11 (should be 10)

AN this chapter is supposed to go before the last chapter. Sorry, i was really out of it yesterday.

*Josh pov*

"We're going to a little pizzeria down the street! I figured that would be easy, plus it's not that far. We could go somewhere else if you want." I said, looking at her nervously. She was so cute and sweet.

"No that's perfect! I was actually a little hungry anyway." She said, and i instantly relaxed. We walked down the street and talked a little. I found out she used to love live in Pennsylvania, she loves singing and acting, but she thinks she's not good at either.

"Well, I've never seen you act, but your an amazing singer Maddie." I said and put a hand on her shoulder. She looked up at me and blushed a little, smiling. She kills me, she's so adorable.

We get to the pizzeria and look over the types of pizza. I choose one with pepperoni and sausage, and she chooses white pizza with spinach. We sit down and continue small talk. The pizza comes and we both take a bite right as the waiter leaves. She covers her mouth with a napkin until she swallows it then speaks. "This is so good. Great choice Josh." She says.

"My family and i come here sometimes. We love it." I say back. We continued eating without talking much. After we ate I asked for the bill. "How much was my pizza. You really don't have to pay for it." She says, trying to see the bill. "No. I'm paying. It's less than ten dollars all together anyway." I say, as she gives up trying to pay.

We walk out and walk back to the Rogers. We get to the stage door and stand for a minute. "The shows going on, so if you want to come in you have to be super quiet. But you would already know that cause your entire life is Broadway." She says, looking down. I lift her head with my hand.

"Well if you think your dad, along with the entire male cast won't have my head, then I'd love to come in." I say, and we both let out a little giggle. "Ok, well I can't be sure, but come in." She whispers as she opens the door with her key. She waves hi go to a few people and tells one of them that he should tell Groff she's back. She leads me up some stairs to her room.

"I'm gonna leave the door open so Anthony doesn't have both of our heads." She whispers, flopping onto her bed. I take a seat on a little square ottoman she has. We just play on our phones, showing each other funny pictures until we hear the show end. Then I brace myself for the guys coming up here.

Lin, Groff, and Anthony come up and walk through the open door, not seeing me at first. They start talking to her and then sit on her bed, to notice me. Lin and Anthony look like they are both going to beat me up, bot Groff says something. "Where did you guys go? I know you went out, but where?" He says, genuinely interested.

"I took her to the little pizzeria down the street. We ate and then come back here." I barely get out, then the three of them look at Maddie, who just shakes her head yes and says "ya, it was really good pizza. We should go there with the cast one day." With that, they leave and I stand up.

"I had fun tonight. We should do it again some day." I say quietly. "Same. I'll text you." she says, and go to hug her. She immediately puts her arms out to hug me back, and after that I leave.

*Maddie pov*

It really was a great night. Josh was super nice and sweet. He was definitely nervous, I could tell. I like him. "Ok spill! How was it?" I see jazz, pip, Renee, and Groff. "Groff how many people did you tell?" I asked, smiling. "Only thr people you've seen in here. The people you know most. Oh and daveed. I don't know why he hasn't been up." They all jump onto my bed.

"It was really nice. He came to the stage door, and we walked down to the little pizzeria. We ordered and sat down, talked until the pizza got there, and ate. He paid and we walked back here, and I brought him up, but he was afraid you guys would like, kill him." I said. "Well Lin and Anthony looked ready to earlier. They're ok now though. Now that they talked to you and I talked to them, they're cool."

Jazzy, pip, and Renee stayed back and asked me if I liked him. "Kinda, I mean I like him, but i also like Riley! What do i do?" I asked. "Get to know both of them more. Then decide." Pip said, the other girls agreeing. They left and I fell asleep.
