Half an hour later, im half way through eating a chicken limone, laughing with my parents, and snapchatting my boyfriend. Life truly is good. Or at least at this moment, before my mind goes back to the dark place it loves to torment me in.

Like normal, our family watches television for a while. Jazzy doesn't know what happened earlier, but that's okay. We all laugh and hang out, both me and Jasmine hugging Anthony in the center of the couch. When it gets later, my eyes grow heavy and I get ready for bed. I change into soft shorts and a loose t-shirt.

I lay on my bed and after about 20 minutes of reading, Anthony softly knocks on my door. "Come on in." I say, sitting up and closing my book. "How're you doing, my smol child?" He says, and I crack up. "First off, I am not smol, and second, I'm really good. You guys keep me sane." I say, making him laugh. He hugs me, and i lean onto him. He kisses my hair and stands up. "Sleep well, smol little laf child." He says. "Oh god please that cannot be a thing." I reply. "Oh it already is!" He laughs out and leaves me to sleep.

I went to ask Maddie what she wanted for dinner, since jazzy and i both really didn't care. I knocked on her door, and heard slight rustling as i opened the door. She was covered by a blanket, which is odd for her, as she's always hot. I ask her what she wants, and she quietly says that she isn't hungry. She really thought I would believe that. She self-consiously crosses her arms around her stomach. "Please, love, eat. And why are you wearing a blanket? You're always hot." I tell her. She's acting quite odd, nearly as odd as when we met her.

I pull the blanket off of her legs and it reveals light pink lines on her thighs.
"Love, why? We love you, you're perfect. Please, you're beautiful." I ask her. I wrap my arms around her small body and she leans on my chest. She crys there for a moment, then slightly looks up. She apologizes. She is so adorable, she is so apologetic and fragile. I don't want her to get hurt again. She looks up happier than before. "Ant?" She asks me. "Ya, maddie?" I respond, looking to her. "I like italian." She says. She never ceases to be funny, even when she is the saddest one.

I order her favorite food and we all sit, laughing and talking. My daughter is one of the best things i have. I send Lin a text.

Me: hey I'm taking off tomorrow is that ok?

Lin: ya, any specific reason??

Me:taking the smol one out for the day.

Lin: k, have fun

I continue to plan our day while we watch tv. Maddie gets up and gets ready for bed, and I get up later to wish her a good night. I sit with her a moment, then go and tell jazz my plan.

"Ok, I'm going to take her out. We're going to go see les miserables and then we're going to lunch. Then ill just kinda see what she wants to do." I explain to my almost-wife. She nods in agreement. "I'll pick out an outfit for her. You're sure there's an in-service day tomorrow, right?" Jazz says. "Of course." I say and we go off to bed after jazz picks an outfit.

She picks a navy blue, long sleeved shirt that has a cross on the back and says "eternally loved", black leggings, and her beloved doc martens. I may be a guy, but jazz makes sure i know enough about fashion.
