Cast party- part 78

We all hang out and have fun before we have to go to the party.

*Riley pov*

We all climb into the car, turning the heat all the way up to keep us warm. Gifts are filling the open space on the far seat and between mine and maddies legs. She's sitting in the middle seat and leaning on me, as we drive the short way to the theatre. We finally pull up and I take maddies gifts along with mine, as I see Anthony take Jazz and his. We walk in and see a pile of gifts on the side. "Presents over there, we're doing them in a while!" Lin shouts from the stage, and we place the gifts over there. The four of us climb up onto the stage and hang out for a while.

"Guys, guys! Shut up!" Maddie yells, standing on one of the set pieces. "We're gonna do the gifts, so everyone go grab one, and somebody grab me one!" She shouts, and everyone dashes to the pile. I throw her a box and then we all sit down. "Ok, so I'm gonna read a story, and every time I say 'right', pass the gift to the right, and if I say 'left' pass it to the left. Everyone understand?" She says, standing at a spot in the circle. She receives nod from everyone, then pulls a piece of paper from her pocket. She begins to read off the story, and we all pass the gifts.

After about 20 minutes, the story comes to a close. "Ok, we're gonna like go around the circle and open the gifts so you can figure out who gave it to you." She says and jazzy jumps up. "I'm going first!" She says, then tears into the gift. She pulls out a set of perfumes and lotions, smiling. "I got that!" Pippa says, and jazzy thanks her. They go through the entire circle, and Daveed got the gift that I brought. It was a mug that says 'have a nice day' on the side, than a middle finger on the bottom, which made everyone laugh hysterically when Daveed didn't see it at first.

Finally the casts family slowly makes their way in, then I see my dad. "Is this the right place? Oh yea, hey Riley, Maddie Anthony jazz, and, I'm never gonna learn all of your names." He says chuckling. "Hey, come on up, I'm Lin." Lin says, standing up to shake hands with my dad. We pull all of the food, tables and chairs up to the table, and sit down. Lins parents brought food, along with Vanessa, and a couple other people.

We all joke and laugh for a few hours, eating the delicious food. Eventually we pull out games and play them for a few more hours. People start leaving around 6, and my dad and I leave around 8. Before we leave, I wrap my arms around maddie and kiss her forehead. I can barely wait until new years.

*maddie pov*

Riley wraps his arms around me and gently kisses my forehead. He heads out, then we continue to hang out for a while. Jazz, Anthony and I leave at 8:30, leftovers in hand. Once we get home, I throw a small plate of food in the microwave and eat it for a little bit while we watch cheesey Hallmark Christmas movies. I fall asleep on the couch pretty late, watching some random movie with my family.

*time skip 4 days, new years eve*
*Anthony pov*

We threw a new year's party, so riley, lin, Vanessa, Leslie, nicolette, Daveed and jalene came. We were all hanging out in the living rrom, Maddie and Jazz occasionally making more appetizers. We were going back and forth between watching the new years performances and movies on other channels. Finally, it's 11:59. We all gather with our spouses/ fiancees/ girl or boyfriends and wait for the ball to drop. Right as I say 0, I pull Jazz over to me and kiss her. Once I let go, I look her in the eyes. "I love you jazz." I say, and she smiles. " I love you too, ant." She says, as I realize how wonderful my life is right now.

*maddie pov*

Some of my closest family and friends are at the party for new years. We're all just hanging out and having fun, being a big family. We're all sitting on the couch or the floor, watching some performers, when it's 11:59. We jump up and I stand with Riley while we count down. While I'm saying 0, Riley pulls me in and kisses me. I smile afterwards, knowing how amazing this life is, and remembering that my parents are getting married in less than 2 months.
