Running Into Hamilton

Roof -part 74

Everyone is talking and we all slowly fall asleep.

I fall asleep asleep, my phone next to me. I wake up a little while later, and I checked my phone. The display reads 2:19. I silently weave through everyone on the stage and walk up to my room. I grab a sweatshirt and waterproof blanket. I know there's a weird spot on the roof that the snow melts on, so it leaves a little path. I walk up the stairs and open the door to the roof, seeing the white color. It had all iced over, so the snow wouldn't move. I go to my little alcove and just sit. I hear the sounds of the early city, the gentler sounds of the harsh city. They comfort me, letting me know that this is my life now.

I'm drowned in the sound, the cold, the music in my head. "Hey, you ok?" I hear daveed say, sitting next to me on the blanket. "Yea, couldn't sleep. I like it up here. It's quiet, realxing." I said. "I can see. It's nice. Do you wanna come down?" He asks, and I lean my on his shoulder. "Not yet. And, uncle daveed, do you think Riley really likes me. Wow, nevermind, I'm stupid, why would I ask you that. Ugh, I'm so st-" I say, still leaning on him. "No, you arent stupid. And yes, he really, really loves you. I can tell when he sees you, when you two sing together. Even when you aren't talking to him, he just looks so in love with you." He says, rubbing my shoulder.

"Thanks Daveed, I'm gonna go back downstairs." I say, and he stands with me. "Good, you need sleep." He says and we walk back. I get under my blanket and get comfortable again, then quickly fall asleep.

I groggily wake up, seeing a few people sitting up and whispering or playing on their phones. I pull mine out and send a few snapchats, then go onto twitter. I like a lot of tweets and photos before composing my own. I pull up a picture that I took last night of us playing Apples to apples and typed a little caption.

@/onemusicalmaddie - had a great sleepover w/ the cast& Riley. Couldn't have been better & stay safe in the snow!

I tweet it out and immediately get likes from the cast members who have their phones out. They all look up and smile, retweeting and responding to me. Riley wakes up and sees me sitting up, then pushes himself up and wraps his arms around me. "It's cold up here when the lights aren't on." I say, leaning my head on him. We all stay there until most people have gotten up, then I run into the kitchen. I make my signature pancakes that they all love, Riley helping me. Thayne runs in first after I call them out for food, and he takes 4 pancakes. Thank God I made alot.

We all eat and have fun, a few people leaving since they lice down the street and the roads are a bit clearer. We have a huge snowball fight in the small amount of land we can. We head back half way through the day, and drop Riley off on the way home. A snow day got called, so we didn't have to worry about that. I make hot cocoa and sit in the living room, watching tv, snuggled in a blanket.
