I just want Maddie to feel better and too protect her. My job was to protect her, and I'm not doing so great at that.

*maddies pov*

I lay in my bed, still thinking about if I want to get back together with Riley. I feel really bad, and i feel like he needs someone right now, with what happened. If he asks me, I'll probably get back together with him. I fall asleep, still thinking about it.

*dream*

"Hey, you're finally up. Breakfast is on the table." A familiar voice says. I grab a plate of eggs and walk to the couch, being engulfed by someone's arms. I look up and see Rileys face. "Yum! What're we watching?" I day, sinking into his arms. "Whatever you want." He says, flipping the remote in his hand. "Isn't it like, 90's nick weekend or something? Let's watch that." I say, remembering Keenan and Kel, CatDog, The Amanda Show and All that.

He flips the channel on, and we sit in the couch together, eating breakfast and laughing.

*dream over*

I sit up, thinking even more over what had happened in that dream, because it made me happy. I realize it's nearly time for me to wake up anyway, so i roll out of bed and get ready. I get in Anthony's car and head off to school. I drop my bag into my locker, then head to homeroom alone. I sit down and Riley sits next to me. "Hey, I know I shouldn't be asking you this, but if you want to, I'll be up to getting back together with you. But if you don't want to, that's fine. Really." He says, fiddling his thumbs while looking down.

"Let me think for the night. I'll probably call you, I'm not sure. I'll tell you later." I say quietly, not sure that that was the correct answer. He thanks me, then stands up and walks to his assigned seat. I continue through the day, my mind fogged by my relationship.

I walk to the auditorium a few moments after the bell rings, heading to rehearsal. I go through the script, as always. It's awkward, but we're not totally doing choreography and that makes it easier. I don't have to dance with him or act madly in love.

I walk out to Anthony's car, and aside from our greeting, it's quiet for a while. "Umm, I might want to date Riley again, a-are you ok with that?"I quietly ask, and he glances over. "Did he ask you out again? If he asked you, then no. If you just forgive him, then- maybe. I have to talk to him and see what he was to say." Anthony says, gripping the steering wheel deathly tight.

We pull into the parking lot and walk upstairs, Anthony pulling out his phone to call Riley.
