I gritted my teeth instead of sleeping. She talked with Nathanael. The one guy who cares the most about overrunning the royalty and the least about people. I walked into school tired and my life felt better after seeing Marinettes smile. She walked over to me at my desk. She's been here for about three weeks now. "Hey Adrien," I blushed about how angelic her voice was. "You look tired."
"I am," I yawned. "I haven't got sleep in a couple days."
"Why?" She sat in Ninos seat.
"Just can't sleep," I shrugged and she giggled. "What?"
"That can't be your only reason."
"Can't think of anything else." I smiled and she smiled back. The bell rang and she moved to her seat and Nino and Alya walked in. A few minutes later Ms.Bustier walked in.
"I have an assignment for you!" She smiled and everyone groaned, even me. "I will assign you in pairs and the project is that you have to write about something you both like and it's due tomorrow so I suggest meeting out of school since you can't do it in class," she read off the groups. All of the usual groups she makes. Sabrina and Chloe, Rose and Juleka, Ivan and Mylene, Nino and Alya, Kim and Alix, Max and Nathanael, then me and Marinette. Our, first project together.
{--Nathanael--}
That boy. Adrien. He only cares about the crown. Just because his father is rich and his mother died he thinks he deserves everything. I see him ogling her. It makes me sick. She only belongs with me. At lunch I see her running towards her. I jump up from my seat and get to her first. "Hi Marinette!" Adrien and I saw at the same time. We glare at each other.
"Hi boys," she giggled. My heart skipped a beat at it. "What did you two want to ask?" We start talking at the same time, stop and glare at each other. "Nathanael first."
"I was wondering if you wanted to go to the movies with me tonight." I winked at her. A small amount of blush appeared on her face.
"Sure," she smiled. I smiled back."Adrien?"
"I was going to ask if we could work on the project after school," he smiled. God I wish I could kill him but a vampire can't kill other vampires. He doesn't smell like one though, or even have his fangs yet. "But I can do it myself if you want." He flashed a bright smile. I glared at him.
"Oh the project!" She hit her palm on her forehead. "I'm sorry Nathanael but I can't. We have to work on the project."
"No I understand. Have a good day." I smiled and walked away. God how I hate that Agreste boy.
{--Adrien--}
He walked away. Just like that? He thinks he get everything he wants. I turn to Marinette and smile. "Should we work on it at your place or mine?"
"Uhm?" She looked like she couldn't answer.
"Should we work on the project at your house or mine?" I rephrased.
"Could we work on it at mine?" She asked and I nodded. "Great. Sorry I don't really know street slang." She giggled and I nodded again.
"That's fine. I don't really know it myself but if you want to be friends with Alya and Nino you need to know it." I laughed and she laughed too.
She grabbed her bag when the bell rang. "See you after school." I smiled and we walked to our classes. After school a red and black car pulled up.
{--Marinette--}
I touched Adriens shoulder and he jumped. "Sorry the red car is ours," I smiled and he nodded. He walked to the car and got in. My driver drove us to the castle and he pulled into the driveway. We got out and we thanked him. I walked inside and he followed me. Tikki and Plagg came out of their office and engulfed me in a big hug, obviously not seeing Adrien. "Uhm guys?"
"How was school?" Tikki held my shoulders and I nervously laughed.
"It was good. I got my first pair assignment and its with Adrien." I pointed to him and he nervously waved. Tikki squealed ad I held my ears along with Plagg.
"Tikki!" Plagg yelled and she stopped. He straightened up along with me. "Please stop scaring her friends away." Even if they weren't my real parents they still acted like it.
"This is her first friend over I'm sorry if I'm happy for her," she crossed her arms and walked over to us. Plagg ruffled her red hair. Even if we're not family, I still look like their child. I have Tikkis blue eyes and Plaggs black hair but mines lighter. "I'm Tikki and this is Plagg." Tikki smiled.
"I-it's nice to meet you your majesties." Adrien bowed to them and Plagg nodded, crossing his arms.
"Why can't we get respect like this anymore. I like the good old days were people coward at us." He smiled and I elbowed him. My fangs throbbed again and I held my mouth.
"Whats wrong Mari?"
"Just hungry." I nervously laughed.
"Don't they have feeding banks at school?" I shook my head.
"They don't want to make the human students uncomfortable by having them," I winced again and Adrien looked up at me. "Is the chef in?"
"No. His wife got sick and had to take to week off." Plagg answered and I winced again. Adrien ran over to me and caught me. My legs gave out. If I don't feed for a while I get dizzy. I hate being in a royal bloodline that's so pure. We have to feed all the time.
Adrien rolled up his sleeve. "Adrien, what're you doing?"
