The original extended family entered the Abbatoir together, rushing into the courtyard where they found Elijah and Marcel flipping through pages of what appeared to be Grimoires, Elijah got frustrated and threw the book away from him. Bella entered, holding a cloth to her nose, it was white but red splashed across it. She noticed them quickly.
"Thank god you are all here" she spoke weakly, she staggered towards Nik who caught her and held her to his chest softly, kissing her head. She then quickly whipped her head around to face Marcel and Elijah.
"Brace yourselves" she warned before a large earthquake shook the quarter, Nik held his fiance tightly as her legs gave away under her, she seemed unfazed by the violent shaking and soon walked over to the staircase and up to the balcony, entering a room quickly.
"What is happening?!" The uninformed hybrid yelled angrily to Marcel and Elijah who were still flicking through large books as though the tectonic plates did not just slide gently beneath their feet.
"It's a new habit Davina has adopted recently" Elijah rolled his eyes and Bella reemerged, her hand raised to the door and she seemed tense but the floor then vibrated slightly and she tensed further.
"What's she doing?" Caroline questioned as she watched Bella who was muttering in Latin, her hands glowing as well as the door. Elijah followed their gaze to see Bella, she'd been containing the power for hours, stopping briefly in between when she grew completely unable to hold it any longer, she was growing weak but if she allowed the power to escape for a long period of time, it'd destroy New Orleans.
"She's containing the power" Marcel explained, she'd have to stop eventually or she'd collapse but they just hoped they'd be fast enough to find a solution before that happened. As if on que, Sophie Deveraux entered, instantly running over to Bella and joining hands, also chanting in Latin.
Sophie had arrived about an hour before the original extended family, she'd helped Bella before leaving to get more grimoires and question the other witches about the harvest.
"The witches say Davina should be dead" sophie began from above.
"When the harvest took place, the power of each girl passed onto the next as they were sacrificed, the plan was that the power would flow into the earth when Davina was sacrificed, the girls would then be resurrected when the power flowed back into the earth, as a gift from the ancient witches, it's a tradition to gain power that has forever been carried out. As a result of the power not reentering the earth, the witches of New Orleans are loosing their power and the ancestors are taking it out on Davina" Bella explained.
"So the witches will loose their power?" Katherine questioned, it didn't seem such a bad thing to her, if the witches lost power then they'd be unable to cause trouble.
"Yep, that's not all" Sophie answered as both Bella and her released hands, panting from the power drainage.
"The ancestors will punish Davina until she is sacrificed. It starts with wind, then earth, water and fire. The floods could submerge the quarter and the fire would likely burn it to the ground." Bella delivered the bad news, she'd always been curious how other witches gained power so she'd researched it, not every witch had endless power like her.
"Then why is she still here?" Damon queried, they had to remove her so she'd not kill New Orleans.
"The witches plan on sacrificing her" Sophie told. Marcel growled, he knew this already but he did not believe she'd return.
"They can't!" Marcel yelled.
"If all four girls are sacrificed then they will return, while Davina lives, the others cannot be returned." The hybrid witch explained, she wasn't sure what to do.
"You think we should trust a old ritual which hasn't been completed in our lifetime?" Marcel screamed at the queen but she stayed unfazed.
"That is not what i said, but we have to do something, if not the quarter will burn" Bella growled and entered davinas room followed by Sophie, the vampires knew not of anything witch related. The loss of power if extraordinary to a witch, few survive. Yet vampires have endless power, they do not understand. It would equivalent them returning to mortal.
"Will i really kill everyone?" Davina asked, obviously having heard the conversation. Bella sat beside her and Davina hugged her, the coolness of Bella's skin cooling her, the power of the immortal witch soothed her own.
"Don't worry Vina, we'll find a way" the brunette vampire witch hybrid promised and Davina fell asleep in her arms as she hummed soothingly.
"They do not understand Isabella, make them see sense" Sophie begged, she could not imagine loosing her power.
"I have tried Sophie, there's nothing i can do, they don't understand." She answered.
"So davina will live but the quarter will die?" Sophie was angered.
"I am not sure quite yet what will occur." She answered with a sigh.

Marcel carried Davina whilst Bella held her hand, the rain poured upon them but they didn't react, fire spread behind them as they walked toward the alter, they placed her upon her feet and Marcel hugged her, whispering his goodbyes before she turned to Bella.
"I'm sorry that this has happened Davina" she whispered and hugged her, the girl sobbing onto her shoulder.
"It isn't your fault. I shall return Bella" she grinned and kissed the older girls cheek before walking toward Sophie. Bella walked over to her family and Klaus hugged her, holding a umbrella over her shivering form and Rebekah helped her into her coat which she'd collected.

The vampires awaited the return of the harvest girl but it did not happen, resulting in a gasp from many and light crying from others, Bella purely froze and stared at the blood covered bodies of the girls before her. Unsure what to do.
"Come love, we must go" Klaus called and half carried her away from the scene.
