Chapter 196 -pain😫

A/N :::::: The moment you've all been waiting for....

The group quickly entered the vehicles once more as rain began to trickle along the sidewalk, they had spent virtually the entire day scourging the town in search of nothing in particular and had eventually came to the conclusion that they were never to find whatever it is they searched for. In reality, Dorian just didn't want to return home yet.

As they drove along the streets, Bella felt a powerful kick lurch her body forward and she hissed in evident pain, moments later a dampness sprung beneath her legs and she gasped, turning to Katherine with wide eyes.

"What? What's wrong?"

"My water just broke" she whispered out in fear as the first stab of pain raced through her body, Bella screamed out and panted from the pain that was of a level she'd never experienced before.

"We need to get to a hospital Dorian, NOW!" Katherine demanded and she reached over to take her daughters  figure's hand, squeezing gently and receiving a steely grip in return as Bella gritted her teeth in evident fear and pain. She had gotten over the initial pain now and was merely grunting in pain.

"What are you waiting for Kat? A formal invitation! Call Klaus!" Dorian hissed as he sped the vehicle in a rush to reach the hospital as soon as possible.

Elsewhere all was calm as the family lounged around in the large country manor house, Klaus sat beside Elijah reading as always and they seemed in complete bliss with it. Suddenly Elijahs phone blared and everyone stared at it.

"Elijah ?!" The voice of Katherine hollered the moment he answered and it didn't need to be on loudspeaker for everyone to hear the panic.

"What? What's wrong?" Suddenly, a groan and grunt of pain was heard and the continual ranting of Dorian in some unknown foreign language, probably Greek. Nadia wailed and all in all, a ruckus could be heard.

"I tried calling Klaus but he wouldn't answer" Katherine practically sobbed through the phone as Nadia screamed out.

"What's happening?" Elijah demanded as he tried to remain calm.

"Katherine just tell them!" Bella screamed suddenly before sobbing violently.

"Bella's gone into labour, you need to get down to the hospital now!" Katherine demanded and Klaus froze before instantly kicking into motion as he exited the house, everyone wishing him luck as Elijah followed shortly behind.

"Niklaus, calm yourself" Elijah attempted as they drove along the streets but the hybrid clearly showed signs of not wanting to do such a thing.

Finally they reached the hospital and Elijah had to be the responsible one as always, asking for the correct room whilst Klaus merely paced in frustration. Eventually they got the answers they needed and Klaus raced off once more, what confused Elijah was how scared everyone seemed, humans gave birth and mostly survived so Bella was rather likely to also.

"Bella" Klaus sighed when he finally saw his love, Elijah decided to stay outside the room beside Dorian and rock his baby girl who was still confused by the entire situation. The baby clearly didn't know what was happening despite Dorian explaining.

"Bella is having the babies now"

"right now?" She slurred and Dorian nodded but gave up upon seeing the tots disbelieving countenance.

Within the room Katherine stood to Bella's left with their hands interlocked, Klaus on her opposite arm, whispering sweet nothing's.

"You can do this love, you're the strongest person I know" he reassured and was vaguely aware of a nurse smiling in adoration. He had the slight urge to rip her head off, why was she just standing there instead of helping like everyone else?

"This is one fast labour" a doctor sighed and it was lucky he was compelled as well as all the other nurses because otherwise they would've seen how peculiar it was. "Mrs Mikaelson it's time to push sweety" a nurse instructed and Bella screamed in pain, sweat casing her face as she followed instructions.

"You are doing amazing Bella, keep going" the nurse who they now recognized as a midwife, a very clearly professional midwife, only the best for the hybrids wife.

"I can't" Bella was crying now, she just wanted to give up and sleep and Klaus could see why, despite it only feeling like minutes to him, she'd gone into labour hours ago and she was clearly exhausted.

"Hey look at me" Klaus persisted gently and she did so as she saw his dimpled smile.

"You can do this okay? Just a few more pushes okay, really big pushes and then we'll be a family and everything will be safe" he promised despite how untrue his words were, unknown to Bella but the army was heading toward them at the very moment, prepared to kill and attacking all their men in the city. He should really be helping but there was no way he was leaving his wife whilst she was in labour. Not a chance.

"Yeah Bella, Klaus is right for once, you can do this okay you are the strongest person I know. Come on Bells" Katherine encouraged and Bella once more began to push though now she had determination, if she had to be there all night she would be and that didn't matter. It was odd to her however how short it seemed, there was only a few hours between her water breaking and her beginning to push was that natural? Probably not, they were awesome hybrid babies...

Though, some people were only in labour for seconds, others hours.

"Almost there Bella baby, a few more and this will all be over"
