Nik entered the tent for the first time, the tent he was in had been reserved for him and his fiance, it was rather small, only containing a bed section and a porch area. He opened the bed compartment and noticed a airbed which had been fully prepared.
"Nik?" Bella entered and Klaus turned to her, smiling slightly before turning back to the task at hand, he was unrolling the bedding. Bella noticed her suitcase propped up against the side of the tent, pushing the material outwards with its weight.
"You alright love?" Her fiance asked and her head snapped upwards, only now realising that she'd zoned out. Klaus smiled at get and walked towards her, his arms wrapping around her waist and he kissed her forehead lightly.
''I love you" she whispered to him, her hands slipping around his torso, beneath his coat.
"I love you to" he promised and she smiled. He pulled away reluctantly and reached into his bag, handing her a jumper of his to wear which she quickly threw on and he couldn't help but smile, it dwarfed her.
Together they exited the tent and saw their family sat around on picnic blankets surrounding a blazing fire, the sky now dark. Everyone smiled as the two approached.
"This is nice, I like this" Rebekah expressed, burying herself into Damon's chest, inhaling his scent in a bliss. Everyone else couldn't help but agree, this is what family was all about, the small things that you remember forever. Bella sat beside Nik, the long sleeves of his jumper pulled over her cold hands.
"Let's take a photo, that way it will last forever" Caroline suggested and everyone smiled and stood, each standing together in front of the fire. Caroline lifted her arm, snapping four or five selfies on her phone.
"Smores!" Rebekah suddenly yelled as they'd sat down and everyone laughed at her enthusiasm. Damon magically produced the ingredients and they moved closer to the fire, roasting the marshmallows. Nik quickly burnt his and looked disheartened.

"I think I did it wrong" Nik expressed to his girlfriend as they'd sat back down. She turned to him and giggled at his pouting expression.
"You didn't do it wrong" she promised and took his marshmallow, quickly discarding the burnt bits and putting the gooey pink marshmallow between the chocolate biscuits.
"Here" she offered and help it go to his mouth, allowing him to take a bite if it, he then proceeded to grin like a child in a candy store.
"Do you like it?"
"I love it" he enthused and took it from her hands, quickly scoffing it down as she giggled. After gobbling many smores, they all laid back on the blankets and stared upwards at the stars.
"Its beautiful" Bella remarked lowly, speaking only to her hybrid fiance, he smiled down at her where she rested with her head on his chest.
"Yeah, it is" Klaus agreed, however his eyes were pinned onto Bella rather than the stars. She blushed under his intense gaze and looked down, the hybrid lifted his right hand and pulled her chin upwards so her soft heart shaped face looked up at him, he smiled and pressed his pouty lips onto her bright crimson ones.
"I love you" she whispered and he nodded in agreement, they rolled back onto their backs and stared st the stars again, reminiscing in the moment.
"I wish we could stay like this forever." She whispered, she didn't want to have the fear of Dorian looming over her anymore, nor did she want the threat of all the enemies of the originals. She just wanted her family.
"So do I" she vaguely heard Nik respond before she fell asleep, beneath the stars.
--- Nik sat up on the picnic blanket, scanning around the area. Elijah and Katherine were sound asleep on the picnic blanket opposite them and Damon, Stefan, Rebekah and Caroline were also situated in the area. The large bonfire had burnt out and nothing remained except a pile of ash.
Klaus turned to his left and saw that Bella no longer sat beside him, he was terrified for a moment, thinking held lost her but every muscle in him relaxed when he heard her humming through the tree line.
"Bella love?" He called and she soon returned carrying a pile of logs for the fire. The hybrid smiled at her and stood elegantly, removing the logs from her slender arms and chucking them beside the unlit fire. The sound of the logs hitting together radiated and Elijah groaned, sitting up groggily followed by Rebekah, having heard the racket with their super hearing.
"Morning brothers" Rebekah greeted her family as she stretches and wrenches her body upwards into a stance. He brother nodded sleepily in acknowledgement and Rebekah skipped over to Bella, planting a kiss on the little brunettes cheek as a greeting.
