Chapter 97- Explanations. 📃

"I've been here since the beginning" now he spoke only to Bella and Katherine grumbled but rolled to face away, closing her eyes and hoping to get some form of sleep so she wouldn't awake to be a sleep deprived mess like usual.

"What beginning?"

"Since you were Born"

"What?!" Bella yelled, she couldn't believe she'd been haunted by a psycho witch killer her entire life. Katherine growled at the sudden noise and slammed the pillow over her ears which made Dorian chuckle, he was beginning to actually like the girls.

"Yes well, I always checked in on all the ancestors of the people who sent me here, it was some weird habit of mine. And to be truthful, I hated you" he began and she rolled her eyes, not exactly surprised by his words so far.

"Quit rolling your eyes, they might fall out of your head" he smirked and she scoffed but otherwise ignored the statement, her expression imploring him to continue explaining his story.

"I played quite a few roles throughout your life" he chuckled in memory, when she'd been born, he'd taken it upon himself to torture her as he did her ancestors. "Remember James?" He smiled.

"Yes...." She responded hesitantly, how could she forget? He almost turned her into a bloodsucking cold creature, a fake vampire.

"Well, who do you think sent him to Forks?" Dorian grinned, although stuck in a prison world, he had enhanced powers which enabled him to communicate with people on the real word through their minds.

"Anyone else you sent to torture me?" She queried him, curious as to what he'd done.

"....yeah" he answered her.

"Who?"

"The sociopaths who kidnapped you for that home movie"

"They said they were a delivery service." She grumbled, remembering their exact words from that day in her head.

"They thought they were" he justified.

"Wait...so I'm not Klaus's mate?" She was slightly heartbroken by the fact, even though she knew she lived him unconditionally.

"You are, that part was true, I thought you'd like to know." He explained, on all honesty, he'd began to like her as he watched her and sometimes felt bad for the pain he caused her, resulting in him gifting her happiness on rare occurrences.

"I did like to know but I thought meeting your soulmate was supposed to be all hearts and fireworks, I was afraid of him to start with" she spoke again, confessing her feeling because she knew that he was just inside her head, he had nobody to tell and he couldn't realistically hurt her, he had to do it through other people.

"Yeah, it isn't always sparks. You thought you still lived Edward then which meant you didn't recognize your love for your mate and he'd been so numb to feeling, he didn't notice his intense feelings for you. " he explained once more, he didn't know why he was explaining but he for some reason felt bad for the misery she'd been through.

"I guess that makes sense" she whispered and he smiled. She frowned at him, he seemed to be all-knowing so she wondered if he knew the answer to the question she'd been asking herself for months.

"Do you know why Elena and Tyler made Hayley pretend to be pregnant?" She asked, hoping he knew but afraid of the answer she'd get.

"They were pissed off, Klaus had turned Tyler into a hybrid and sired him and he'd 'ruined Elena's life', when you fell in love with Klaus, her sisterhood she felt with you changed and she began to loath you, you were the thing making Klaus happy and she knew she needed to change it, so she sent Hayley there, Tyler had impregnated the wolf over a one night fling and the three of them manipulated the witches, they were all set, prepared to destroy Klaus." He responded, repeating what he'd gathered from searching through Elena's head when the events occurred.

Dorian wouldn't admit it at that time but he felt responsible for Isabella and Katherine, he felt line they were his, like dolls, he could play with them but others couldn't, he wanted them happy but at the same time he wanted them to feel miserable, he couldn't explain it but he was protective of them, as if they were possessions.

"I can't believe it" she gasped out, Dorian had basically been the reason behind every had thing that had ever happened in her life and that scared her but at the same time, it angered her, how dare he have any control over anything she did. She closed her eyes, wishing to wake up and for once, her request was fulfilled.
