Papalapit na ng papalapit ang UEP. And Mamay’s words got me sleepless nights.

I am so sure she said that this exhibit would pave both mine and Frau’s way to find each other. But how? Ano ang ibig niyang sabihin?

As days passed by, mixed emotion is what I am feeling. I am both excited and terrified. If I’ll win that competition, it would not only carve my name in the land of Mexico but into the whole world.

If I’ll win that competition, it would not only scream the essence of my piece but my name. If I’ll win that competition, it would not just change my rank as an artist but the tracks that I’ll take.

Painting has been my life and I couldn’t believe that it became the main reason why I had this kind of life.

We’re in the middle of eating our dinner. Both Mamay and Papa were out of town, may inaasikaso tungkol sa upcoming event.

I am left here with the three idiots and Nina.

Kasalukuyan akong umiinom ng juice habang biglang nagtanong si Haste.

“Are you a pahlahkhang bahklah, Demi?” He curiously asked Demi who’s busy drinking his own drink too.

Sa pagkabigla ng kanyang tanong ay pareho kami ni Demi na halos maibuga ang iniinom.

Humagalpak ako sa pinakitang reaksiyon niya. Kitang-kita ko ang pagkamangha sa kanyang mga mata. Wondering where did Haste get that idea.

“Who in the freaking world told you that?” Matalim na tanong ni Demi habang umuubo pa.

Pansin kong litong nakamasid lang si Vast, too clueless?

Nginuso ni Haste ang direksiyon ko, “Riya did.”

“Ikaw talagang bruha ka! Kung anu-ano nalang sinusubo mo sa utak ni Haste!”

“Atleast ideya lang ang akin, e ikaw? Ano ang isinusubo mo sa iba?” Hagalpak ko.

Namula sa Demi. Pwe! As if conservative.

Lahat ng kalahok ay walang alam kung ano ang ipipinta. On the spot. Doon lang sasabihin kung ano ang konsepto.

Lumipas ang ilang linggo at may namuong plano sa utak ko. I would like to share this to Mamay and Papa, hoping that they could suggest something about it.

As much as possible ay pinagsisikapan kong maipakita sa kanila na wala akong nalalaman. Hindi ko ipapahalata, I think now’s not the right time, ngayon pa na may malaking event na mangyayari.

I tried to act casual sa harap nila, lalong-lalo na kay Papa. Good thing na hindi niya naman gaanong pansin.

“May, Pa. I have something to propose.” Panimula ko.

Kaming tatlo lang sa bahay ngayon. Wala sina Haste at Vast, anila’y may pinuntahan daw si Haste.

I know what and where is it, invited din naman ako but I promise my parents that I would spend this day with them. Haste is probably watching Audrey’s mini concert on one of the stadium here in Mexico.

I was glad noong binalita ni Audrey sakin iyon, it’s one of her biggest dream. At last ay nagsisimula na talaga siyang kilalanin ng madla. Anytime soon, she’ll be a superstar.

She already had the talent and the looks. She deserves it, whatever achievements she has now.

Demi is busy buying things and all, tapos na kasi ako. Pasalubong daw para sa mga kakilala at kamag-anak namin sa Pinas.

Three days from now, I’ll be stepping on the land where I left all my happy memories with him. Kung saan kami unang nagkita, kung saan kami nagsimula.
