Liam sat at their manager’s office pretending to listen to what he was saying. He looked around and realized neither Zayn, Louis, Niall or Harry were paying attention. Apparently they were being lectured about the process of making an album but Liam could honestly care less.
Why the meeting had been scheduled on a Friday morning even though he had argued he was busy was beyond him. He had told his manager’s secretary he couldn’t do it on Friday morning and still, the meeting had been scheduled and of course, he couldn’t miss it. Apparently it was more important to be at that meeting than being at home with the girl that he liked.
Even though she doesn’t know that I like her… He thought.
“Hey… What are you doing later?” Asked Louis After the meeting had ended
“I’m going back home” He replied
“What? Don’t be such a bore… It’s Friday for god’s sake!”
“I know why he’s going back home?” Said Harry
“What? Why?” Asked Niall looking from Harry to Liam with a confused look on his face
“He’s going home because Ariana’s there…” Said Harry
“Ariana?” Asked Louis “You like her?”
Louis eyebrows arched in surprise while Niall and Zayn looked at him expectantly.
“Yes… So… Bye guys…” Nodded Liam
“Wait… You are not leaving until you tell us about it” Said Zayn putting a hand on his shoulders and leading him down the street towards the restaurant in the corner.
“Guys… Come on…” He tried to protest
“No complaining… Come on dude… Be a nice lad and tell all” Said Niall
He couldn’t help it, even if he didn’t want to tell them anything, they were going to take the words out of him no matter what. He had told Harry but for some reason he hadn’t told everyone else, so now he was sat surrounded by his friends while he told them about Ariana.
“But… Let me get this straight… You two haven’t…” Said Louis
“No… We haven’t” Replied Liam feeling annoyed
“Not even a little kiss?” Asked Zayn
“No! Guys… Enough… Ok?” He snapped
“But why? She’s pretty hot…”Asked Louis
“Because… I don’t wanna freak her out ok?” Liam replied hastily
“Why would you freak her out?” Asked Louis again
“Well… She works for me… I don’t want her to get the wrong impression… Besides… I doubt she likes me… I don’t want to make a move and look like a complete idiot if she doesn’t like me” He tried to explain
“Mate… Get a grip… You’re a twenty five, talented and good looking man… You can get any girl you want” Said Harry looking at him and placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder
“Is that what you tell yourself every morning when you look in the mirror?” Asked Liam making the rest of the guys laugh
“You can laugh, but it works” Said Harry with a smirk
“So… I’m gonna go home to… You know… be talented and good looking… get the girl that I want” Said Liam getting up from his chair and getting some change from his wallet to cover his share of the lunch
