CHAPTER TWENTY
“So… I’ll see you tonight” Said Liam once he had parked his car outside Zayn and Perrie’s house
Ariana nodded in response before leaning forward to kiss him
“Have a good day” She said before rubbing his lips with her thumb, removing the remains of lip gloss
“Thank you… Do you want me to pick you up at school?” He offered
“Not necessary… I’ll take the bus and meet you home” She said
“But… Will you be safe?” He asked with a frown
“Yes… I’ll be safe… Don’t worry”
“You know what, I’ll pick you up” He stated
“Li…”
“Stop protesting… I’ll be outside the university waiting tonight”
Ariana closed her eyes and shook her head in defeat.
“Fine… I’ll see you tonight then…” She conceded
The heard the front gate open and turned around to see Zayn stepping outside of the gate and waving at the two of them. In the background she could see Perrie standing in the doorway.
“Ok… You better get going…” Said Ariana giving Liam a quick peck on the lips before opening his car door and getting out
“Bye… I’ll see you tonight”
Ariana smiled as she walked around the car towards the front gate where Zayn greeted her with a frown.
“Hey” She said waving at him, knowing the frown on his face was due to the bruises he was seeing on her face
“Hi… Oh... Sorry about what happened… Liam told us” He said awkwardly
“It’s ok… I’m doing better now” She added quickly
“Well… Perrie’s waiting for you…” He said looking back towards the house
“Thanks… Have a good day” She said smiling at him
“You too” He smiled back at her before walking towards Liam’s car
Ariana walked inside the house and looked around as the front gate closed beside her. When she looked back at the house, Perrie was walking towards her with a frown on her face.
Oh… Here we go again… She thought feeling self-conscious about the bruise on her face
“Oh God!” Gasped Perrie when she stood in front of her “Ariana! How did this happen?”
She came over to her and hugged her
“Let’s go inside… I’ll tell you all about it”
As she and Perrie sat on the living room having tea together, Ariana retold the events of her attack.
“Christ! That’s so scary!” She exclaimed
“I know… It’s the scariest thing that’s ever happened to me” Said Ariana shuddering at the memory
“But let’s talk about the positive side… You’re with Liam now!”
“I now! It’s so strange…. It’s crazy! You know… Really insane…”
“But you look happy…” Added Perrie with a smile
“He’s so nice… And hot… I’ve never felt like this about anyone…. Ever…” Confessed Ariana feeling flustered
