Ariana heard her phone ring and walked back to the living room following the sound until she found it on the coffee table, leaning down to pick it up she noticed how difficult a simple task such as leaning down had become.
Oh baby… she thought placing her hand on her small baby bump
“Hi John…” She said after reading the caller ID
“Hey boo” He said cheerfully “How are you?”
“Alright… you?” She replied as she plopped down on the couch and stretched her feet
“Busy as hell” He replied
“What are you doing?” She asked with curiosity
“I told my boss I’d help her organize this weekend’s conference but… I just… I can’t even deal with this anymore” He admitted
“What exactly are you doing?” Asked Ariana eager for details
“I’m sending invites, confirming attendance…. Making sure everything is ready for the guests…” He explained
“Oh… Sounds like you’re way in over your head…. Do you need any help?” She asked
“DUH! Do I need any help? Of course I do!” He replied making her giggle
“My dear friend… I am at your disposal” She replied
“Really?” He asked
“Of course!!” She exclaimed
“Don’t you and Liam have any plans?” He asked
Ariana thought back at the last few days they had spent at home. They had done nothing but sleeping in, have sex and eat. Nothing wrong with that… She thought. But if she was honest with herself, she was bored of being locked up at home.
Now that the tour was over she found herself with more free time than before. She had thought about booking some of those maternity classes but the weather had been so cold that she thought procrastinating was the answer. However, after almost a week of being locked up at home after visiting Liam’s parents she was beginning to feel trapped.
“No, we don’t…” She said looking over to Liam who had just entered the living room with a couple of video game box sets in his hands
“Well… I’d love a hand if you could help me… I can supply cake and tea”
“Oh honey… you had me at cake” She said making him laugh
“Will you come over?” He asked
“Of course! Your flat?” She asked
“Yep, I’m here” He replied
“I’ll see you in an hour… Or more… You know, traffic…”
“I understand… I’ll be waiting here” He said and she could tell how relieved he sounded
“Bye then…”
“Bye!” He said before hanging up
Ariana looked up at Liam before pushing herself up from the couch.
“Where are you going?” He asked with curiosity
“John and Brian’s…. Johnathan needs my help” She said walking to find her handbag
