CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Ariana’s head was spinning from excitement. She had excused herself and had gone to the bathroom once they had arrived at the restaurant.

Deep breaths…Deep breaths… You’re about to have dinner with your boss… She thought, urging herself to calm down.

She couldn’t believe her boss had asked her out to dinner and on top of that, he sang for her on the way to the restaurant. She wanted to yell in excitement but she didn’t want to look like a crazy person.

She needed to tell someone about it but she doubted Brian would be as excited as her. He would probably tell her to stop what she was doing and leave the restaurant. Johnathan would be excited, that was for sure, but he was likely to be with Brian so she didn’t have to think twice about not calling either of the two.

Quickly, she dug her hand in her bag and called the one person she could think of that could feel the same excitement that she was feeling at the moment.

“Hey!” Said Perrie

“Hey! You wouldn’t believe, but… Liam asked me out to dinner!” Said Ariana

“Oh my God! That’s amazing! When?” She asked

“NOW! I mean… He asked me earlier… We’re at the restaurant now and I don’t know what to do!” She said quickly

“Oh God! Ariana! How did this happen?” Asked Perrie

“I don’t know… We were talking and he heard me talking about my class being cancelled… Then he said, why don’t we go out to dinner? And I said yes! And now were here… Help! I don’t know what to say to him… How to act… My hands are sweating” She said feeling desperate

“You need to relax… It’s just Liam… He’s a really nice lad, you don’t need to pretend to be anything in front of him… Just be yourself…”

“That’s easy for you to say” Complained Ariana

“Ariana… Just listen to me… I know you’re nervous, but I promise you Liam will like you if you show him who you are… Besides… He already asked you out! I’m sure he already likes you!” Argued Perrie

“You think?” Asked Ariana allowing herself to believe for a little moment that in fact Liam could possibly like her enough to ask her out

Or maybe he did it because he was bored… I probably amuse him enough to keep him entertained for the evening…

“Yes! Absolutely… Trust me… I’m absolutely sure he does! Now… Where is he?” She asked

“Outside at our table… I’m hiding in the bathroom…” Explained Ariana

“What are you waiting for? Go out there and enjoy the evening” She ordered “Call me again if you need to talk, ok?”

“I will… And thanks… I really appreciate your advice” Said Ariana

“Call me when you get home, I want to know all about it!”

“I will, I promise… Wish me luck!” Pleaded Ariana

“You don’t need it, you’ll be fine, trust me” She said encouragingly

“Thank you… Talk soon, yeah?” Said Ariana

“Absolutely” She said before Ariana hung up and put the phone back in her purse

She looked at her reflection on the bathroom mirror and realized she had never felt so nervous about dating someone. Not even her ex-boyfriend. But being around Liam raised so many feelings inside her that she was confident that one day she was going to lose her mind.
