CHAPTER NINETEEN

“Smile!” She said pointing her phone at him while she took a photo

He made a funny face and she snapped the photo, laughing at the final result.

“No! I mean it... Smile... Please?” She begged while she was still laughing “I'm going to keep all of these for my personal amusement, but I want a picture where you are smiling”

“Ok fine... Here goes” He said smiling from ear to ear while she snapped the next picture

The two of them had been playing with Ariana's phone and Ipad after dinner and he could see how much she was enjoying them. He loved seeing a smile on her face again, even after what had happened to her.

He didn't know when it occurred to him that he could help her out by getting her a new phone, but the moment he had entered the electronics store in the afternoon, he remembered that she had lost her laptop as well.

He asked himself if perhaps it was a bit too much to give her a present like that, seeing as nobody gave a present like that so easily, but compared to how much she needed them, paying nearly three thousand pounds on the brand new items didn't seem like much at all.

Louis had been shocked when he had told him that the phone, laptop and ipad were not for him but for Ariana, arguing that it was a bit over the top to give all of that to someone he was just hoping to hook up with. He had flashed him an angry looked and replied

“I'm not hoping to hook up with her, I want to have a relationship with her... And I'm buying these for her because she just lost them when she was mugged... I'm trying to help her out a bit”

“Still... Too much”

“Shut up Louis” He warned, not wanting to hear more about it

“Ok ok...  I won't say anything else... Except... Make sure you enjoy the rewards”

“Stop it...” He warned again

“That's all I wanted to say”

“Are you tired?” Asked Ariana snapping him out of his thoughts, looking at him with curiosity

“A bit... You?”

“Not really, but we can go to bed if you're tired” She said

“We?” He asked raising an eyebrow trying not to smile

“Yes, we... You've already lured me to your bed once but... If you want to I can sleep in the guest room like I'm meant to” She replied casually

“I don't see that happening any time soon... You're coming to bed with me again” He grinned mischievously

“Good, didn't think you would change your mind”

They decided to go to bed and watch a movie together, so a little while later, the two of them had brushed their teeth and made themselves comfortable in his bed.  Ariana turned the tv on and to his embarrassment, the first thing that came on was a porn channel. Her eyes opened wide before she looked at him.

“Liam!” She complained while the moans of the woman on the tv escalated to a higher pitch

“Oh God! I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” He apologized hastily

“Really? Porn?” She asked in disbelief

“I… What do you expect? I’m a man who lives on my own…” He tried to say in his defense, only managing to make her blush even more

“Ugh! Turn it off!!” She said covering her face with her pillow

His face was blushing a ridiculous shade of red, but still he took the remote control from her hands and changed the channel. Once he had settled for a harmless movie channel he plopped back on his pillow feeling embarrassed as hell.
