Chapter 15

I played with my phone to pass the time of the drive. It was dark now and I couldn't see much I wonder what the club will be like now that I'm 18. Minutes later we parked and I realized we weren't at a club. We were at Eleanor's house. Why?

"I thought we were going to the club?"

"Oh yeah we're just picking Eleanor up"

"Okay I didn't know she was coming"

"Yeah I invited her. You don't mind right?"

"No it's fine I just didn't know"

HARRY'S POV

"Okay guys they're here!" Eleanor called out and we all hid in the dark. I was excited to see Emily. I wondered what dress she would be wearing and how her hair was done. I missed her so much. When she woke up and was embarrassed for holding my hand it was the most adorable thing ever.

I watched as Eleanor opened the door and I saw Emily's silhouette but couldn't see all of her. As the lights switched on we all jumped up and yelled 'surprise'. She was definitely not expecting that.

"Oh my gosh thank you I can't believe it!" My eyes were glued to her. I don't know where that dress came from but I loved it. The way it was tight around her and made her legs look longer. The heels too. This was like a whole new her and I couldn't take my eyes off it.

I watched as she walked around hugging everyone. I could tell she was having trouble walking but she recovered. Her hair was in loose curls that fell down below her shoulders and her makeup was just..wow. She didn't need makeup but it always looked good either way.

She made her way over to me and I suddenly got nervous. I never get this nervous. Her blue eyes stared into mine basically paralyzing me.

"Happy Birthday!" I smiled..I wasn't sure if I should hug her or not and I think she was thinking the same thing so we both kept our distance.

"Thank you" She smiled "Are you feeling better?"

"Yeah I'm pretty much recovered" I smiled.

"Well that's good" She said. Her height was very close to mine now because of her heels. Neither of us knew what to say so it was a sort of awkward conversation.

"So" She started

"So..um did you expect a surprise party?"

"No Rayne said we were going to the club and pick El up"

"Sounds like they did a better job of keeping it a secret then the boys tried to at my surprise party" I laughed and she grew tense. Damn it. I shouldn't have mentioned the party.

EMILY'S POV

Once he brought up his party I immediately thought about 'it'. My mood shifted and I wasn't happy anymore.

"Um well I'm going to go say hi to Lou" I fake smiled and I could tell he caught it. I didn't give him a chance to respond before I took off. I just needed a minute to cool down. I walked in the dining room which was empty. I fanned my eyes mostly to stop my tears from growing too big.

"Emily?" I turned around at the sound of Liam's concerned voice

"Hey" I smiled this time for real

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah um just..nothing it's nothing I'm fine"

"Well Happy Birthday!" He hugged me and his arms around me gave me that sense of comfort

"Thank you" We walked back out into the living room and I saw Perrie sitting alone on the couch so I joined her.

"Hello birthday girl so how does it feel to be 18?"
