The hot heat from the Vegas sun was hitting my skin. Luckily the cool water from the pool started to cool me off. I was in Vegas to celebrate the engagement of Melissa and Jessie. It was also a going away party for Jess, since he's going to Germany to play in the KHL.
We are at wet Republic pool party and they are the ones hosting the party. Melissa has been working for the company for a few years now, so it was nice of them to be throwing her engagement party. I remember coming here two years ago with Jessie. Melissa was our pool waitress and Jessie fell in love with her at first sight. I am so happy for them and got to witness their love blossom.
Leah said she was going to meet me here. It's been exactly three weeks since our camping trip since I last saw her. I went back to Toronto for Camp Bio steel and finished up some training.
She headed back to Dallas to finish up her summer classes. She was also occupied with video chats with her the players and her partners. But we some how made time for one another at the end of the day.
I miss her lips, her body,her laugh and her voice. I just miss her in my arms. Thank god for snap chat and face time. We send each other a snap threw out the day and she sent me one today that was only meant for my eyes.
Which makes me pretty impatient right now. But she was traveling here from California. Her brother David and wife GG had their beautiful baby girl Sarah and Leah wanted to go and visit them. We made a deal to meet here in Vegas for the weekend and then go on vacation.
We will be spending the week on the beautiful crystal blue waters of Greece. She doesn't have a clue where we will be, just that she needed Summer clothes and her passport.
I am excited to see her face when I tell her and to have her all to myself.
"Tyler! What's up man?" Jessie said as he walked over to me. "Hey man! Congrats" I said as we hugged. "Thank you man! I told you I was going to pop the question" he said with a grin. "I remember you telling me, but I wasn't sure if you were gonna go threw it. Either way I am happy for the both of you" "Thanks, that mean a lot"
We both talked a bit more and then Mellisa joined us. "Hey Stranger" she said as hugged me and then went into Jessie arms. "Hey! Congratulations!" "Why thank you, this poop head actually did something right" she sod with a smirk.
Jessie shook his head and pulled her into a kiss. God Dam it! Where the hell is Leah?
"Who are you looking for?" Mellisa asked. "Huh?" I asked confused and looked back at her. "You keep turning your head around looking for someone. Now spill it! God knows it's not Ali, since she literally chewed my ear off about you blocking her number out of the blue" Mellisa said while rolling her eyes. "Shit! Is she here?" I asked. "Yea. She's over at the cabana with her brother's. Is that going to be a problem?" She asked. "I hope not" "Well who are you waiting for?" She asked again.
Her eyes widen a bit and huge smile came across her face. I was bit confused and felt hands cover my eyes.
"Guess who?" I heard that beautiful sweet voice.
I quickly turned around and pulled Leah into my arms. I grabbed her lips with mine and kissed like there was no tomorrow. We pulled away and my eyes bugged out. She looked so hot in her dark green one piece suit that had a lot of criss cross pieces. Her long light hair was pulled into a half up due and she had dark sunglasses that looked like mine.
