Winter Classic 2020

Two days before Christmas....

Leah's POV.....

"Ugh" I let out a sigh of frustration as I tear my eyes off of my laptop screen.

It was two days before Christmas Eve and the boys just finished up their game before the long Christmas break. Unfortunately they failed behind and lost to the Flames. The boys are pretty bummed but also excited that they get a small break.

So while every one is getting dressed and ready to spend the holidays with there love ones.I am stuck at work making sure that everything has been confirmed and pictures are edited for January 1st. "The winter classic"

I was given the opportunity back in August to be the leader of my team. Basically on top o I'm in f press conferences, player press pictures to promote the game on social media. Basically any social media concept my team and I are involved in.

Oh and on top of that we had to make sure we were on top of our own social media page. 
I closed my eyes and laid my head back on my chair.

We are down to the wire and I am completely exhausted with all the work we have been doing for the past fives months. But I know it will be all worth it.

I felt hands on my shoulder and immediately shot up from my chair. I quickly turned around and placed my hand on my chest.

"Oh my god! Tyler!" I yelled and i took off my AirPods.

" I am sorry Lee" he said while trying to cover his mouth.

"I yelled your name and you didn't respond" he said with a shrug.

I shook my head finally catching my breath "it's ok, what are you doing here? Don't you have a flight to catch?"

"I leave tomorrow afternoon, i just wanted to drop this off for you" he said as he revealed a small box from the suite Jacket.

"For me?"  I asked as grabbed it from him.
"Yea. A little something for all the hard work you're doing for the boys"

I opened the box and a small smile creeped from my face.  There was two star Diamond stud earrings laying there.

"Tyler!" I yelled as admired the earrings.
"Thank you!" I squealed and jumped into his arms for a hug.
"Of course! You're our star. Might as well wear them"

"I love them, i will never take them off" i said as we pulled away and i placed the box in my bag.

"I see you got a lot of gifts today" he said as he looked over at my desk.

"Haha yea some of the guys brought over gifts" i said as i admired my small pile.

I turned around and saw Tyler look down at the ground.

"Hey, i love your gift. It's made my night"

He looked back up with his small dimple coming out. He stupid grin spreading.

"Really?" He asked quietly.
"Yes, I was stressing out about this edit I was doing before you came"

His rough callused hand came up to my face and brushed the small piece of my hair behind my ear.

"You look exhausted" he said as his fingers traced my black circles.
"I am" I said as I closed them and enjoyed his warm hands.

He wrapped his arms shoulders and pulled me into his chest. I laid my head down and just let out a loud sigh. All the stress and angry I had built in was finally let go.

Tyler's and I relationship has always had its up and downs. We truly have love for one another but decided to remain friends. We both moved on and dated other people. Some relationships lasted long term and some did not. Both in the end our bond brings us back together.
