Chapter 45: Three Strikes

Kenny follows Levi while glancing at Eren who has a very happy grin on his face. Oddly so.
Eren skips off to play with his pet husky and Kenny continues ignoring the boy for now, only focused on making nice with his nephew.

"First you can fix what you did to my kitchen" Levi says thrusting a sponge into Kenny's hand. "Clean up the benches. And throw your bottles out" he says. "I'll clean the floor. Ready? Break!" Levi runs off.

"That damn kid... making me clean.." Kenny grumbles and starts clearing up his mess as he was told, though of course making a fuss about it. He isn't a clean person. Levi however gets right into it. He zips around the kitchen scrubbing his little black heart out. He loves cleaning. Even with his uncle. He has his little cleaning cloth over his head and over his mouth while he uses harsh chemicals to scrub things.
Once Levi is done he goes to see how Kenny is doing. The lazy ass has fallen asleep on the dining table and the chore he was given lays half done, unfinished.
So his nephew punches him in the stomach.

"UGH!" Kenny grunts falling off the table and gasping.
"Wha... what happened?" He asks.

"You fell asleep Dick wad!" Levi throws the sponge at him. "ugh. Screw this. You're just a lazy bum. I don't want to be associated with you anyway."

"What? Levi! Ugh, I tried brat! Cleaning isn't my thing." The man grunts before standing up and looking in his heavy coat pockets for a flask of alco-ma-hols.

"All you ever do is drink, complain and slack off! You put no effort into anuthing!!! What do you even care about hmm!? Yourself! And booze! I'm trying for Eren to get along with you but Fuck! I hate your guts!" Levi starts pacing back and fourth moving his arms around and talking lightning fast.
"YOU CLAIM YOU WANT TO HAVE A SECOND CHANCE BUT YOU ACT LIKE YOU DON'T GIVE A SHIT. YOU MESS UP MY HOUSE AND WITH MY OCD AND JUDGE MY BOYFRIEND. YOU CLEARLY HAVEN'T SHAVED YOUR FACE IN OVER TWENTY MILLION YEARS AND I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF THERE WERE WORMS SEEPING OUT YOUR ASSHOLE BECAUSE YOU CAN'T WIPE IT YOURSELF AND YOUR SHIT IS PROBABLY RUNNY AND STINKS OF ASS! MORE ASS! AND ALCOHOL!" He shouts. "YOU'RE LAZY! YOU DON'T DO ANYTHING! AND YOU EXPECT EVERYTHING FROM EVERYBODY ELSE!" Levi glares at him. Cleaning is what tips him. He likes to have things clean.

Kenny stands there gobsmacked at Levi's outburst and stares at him. His features slowly but surely going from shocked to irritated.
He goes to say something but the two are interrupted when Eren suddenly comes in not looking too pleased and scoops Levi up, and takes him outside along with Merlin.

"Arg Eren what the hell!!"  Levi's still pissed off and Eren's not helping. "Put me down!"

"You and I need to go for a walk I feel." Eren sighs, not even thinking about dropping the smaller male.

"Not while he's in my house! He's going to make a mess! He needs to be restrained while we're out!" Levi worms around but Eren just continues walking.

"Levi, please calm down, baby. Just take a walk with me and calm down." Eren continues walking with Merlin walking behind them without a leash. Eren has been training him and so he sticks by his masters side. "You need to cool off for a few minutes."

"Ugh" Levi covers his face. "I hate him i hate him i hate him" he whines. "Remind me again why I'm even trying?" He groans And flops on Eren's shoulder.

"Because I will give you a night to remember if you do. "

"You've given me nights to remember. There's nothing other than sex I will get if he stays. And that's just sex. I mean sure. It's sex. But i hate him. He's ruining my life. No amount of sex will make me happy if he's hanging around. Why do you even care?"

"... Because family is important to me." Eren states gripping tightly onto Levi.
"Family is the only thing people hold dear to themselves because it's a bond by blood that can't be beat. Family is important to me, and always has been. It hurts seeing that you have someone of your family still alive and wanting to stay part of your family yet you refuse to take the opportunity. He screwed up once today.  Cut the man some slack. If he screws up every single thing he tries at, then I'll talk to him. But I don't want you to ignore him for the rest of your life because of your hatred. He said he would try. And he did. He tried cleaning. He may have missed some spots by accident and fallen asleep but he still gave it a shot. Having you heard the saying? Three strikes and you're out. That was one. He has two more."

"Two more? Then you'll stop trying to guilt trip me?" Levi blinks in question.

"Nope. Two more, and then I'll talk to him."

"Fine. But to be honest. I don't think a blood bond is the strongest kind of bond. A bond filled with love is. Family is just an exuse to have a bond. My bond with you is stronger than my bond with him. My bond with a couple of others who weren't family were stronger than that of some family. A bonds strength depends on love. And support. Not bloodline. So I'll try. But no more family bond bullshit. I love you more than him."

Eren sighs and finally puts Levi down on his own two little feet before pulling him into a tight hug.
"... I love you too..." he mumbles into Levi's hair. "Have you calmed down now? Ready to go back?"

"Ugh. No" Levi grumbles and hugs Eren. "This better be some good sex. I'm talking full blown kinky porno worthy" he huffs and cuddles him with a sigh. "yeah fine. Can't wait to see the mess he's made."

"Have a little faith in the man." Eren nudges Levi's shoulder with his and links their hands and they begin walking back down the road, Merlin walking in between Eren's legs. Levi watching the small creature with a sigh having his uncle on his mind.

Upon walking through the door, the house is relatively silent, except for the sound of banging in the laundry room. The two lovers look at each other before walking hurriedly towards the room. Kenny appears out the laundry room and closes the door behind them.
"Ah, welcome back!" He grins. The man is wearing a cloth over his head like Levi was wearing whilst he was cleaning. Though, Levi looks much better than Kenny does with it on.

"What... what were you Doing?" Eren asks carefully peering at the door.

"Just doing some washing, is all. My clothes were all dirty and so were some your clothes too. So, I had 'Em washed."

A loud... very loud bang comes from the laundry.

"Oh... da hell was that?" Kenny asks peering at the door. Kenny slowly backs away, and Eren pulls Levi to stay back while he goes and checks it out.

He opens the door and sees that there is water everywhere and the washing machine is once again broken but now into scattered pieces.

"Eheh..." Eren laughs nervously.
"Haha... it's nothing!" He claims, quickly closing the door.

"Bullshit it's nothing. Kenny what have you done?" Levi crosses his arms.

"He's done nothing, Levi!" Eren says trying to defend Levi's uncle. "The clothes will be ready to hang out soon, it's fine."

Kenny glances to Eren before looking to Levi. "I only cleaned is all. Like ye wanted."

"You... didn't make more mess...?" The nephew questions his uncle with suspicion.

"Of course not!" The man gasps sounding apalled by the fact his nephew would think such a thing.
"I only did what I had to do to be a help to you. " he says honestly.

While Levi is distracted by interrogating  Kenny, Eren sneaks back into the laundry room and looks at the mess Kenny had indeed created.
"Fuck... okay. Clean."

There Eren goes. Trying to help patch the bond between nephew and Uncle. Cleaning up after Kenny had made a mess and trying to restore the former glory of the washing room. He sneaks next door and steals a new washing machine and replaces the once again broken One.
