"Let's go, Phil." My mum called me from downstairs. We were going to the shopping center to buy gifts. I wasn't given much money, but I needed to give presents to my family and friends. It was only a few days until Christmas, but this was the only chance we had.

I ran down the stairs and met them. I had been feeling much better in those two weeks. Not as sad, much less in fact.

"Lets go." I smiled at them. My parents were also more smiley, considering that I was actually talking to them.

"Where did you get that coat? I don't remember you buying it." Mum asked, looking me up and down. My mind raced or something to say.

"I borrowed it from a friend." I blurted out awkwardly. She nodded, noticing that I was nervous

"Lets go." Martin helped me out. I mouthed a 'thank you' when my mum turned her back.

"Yes, let's." My dad said, zipping up his jacket. We all proceeded to make our way to the car. It took us a few minutes to get there, while Martin argued with my parents.

"I'm not going back to uni, Mum! It's way to stressful!" He said with an angry voice. He didn't scream though, he was beyond that.

"I thought you wanted to!" My mum clenched her fists. "That's why you applied in he first place!"

"I didn't realize that it was going to cause huge panic attacks every month. I can be a director without uni!' He argued back. I sighed, wishing I had gotten my mp3 before we left.

"Well it would help." Mum exhaled angrily.

"Stop it, you two. We're here." Dad rolled his eyes. He didn't want to get in the way of these things, my mum would always get mad at him. Normal parent drama for high schoolers.

"Fine." Mum huffed.

"Fine." Martin huffed back.

"Will you just shut up?" I mumbled under my breath. Mum didn't hear me, but Martin did and he glared at me. I rolled my eyes back at him.

We all went into the shopping center and spilt up. I bought everything in a long period of time, while it took my brother and dad only a few minutes.

After 2 or 3 hours, Mum and I were done and Martin and Dad were waiting, annoyed.

"The presents better be good, then." Martin grumbled as we left. I just smiled. I had gotten him lots if old movies that he loved but never owned any of them. One of them was The Breakfast Club, my favorite movie at the time. He loved it and always told me that he had directed it, because it was so successful.

"They are. Trust me." I told him, smiling.

It was 3 days before Christmas. All the presents were under the tree, all the lights were up. Everyone was so excited. And I had to go to a therapist.

"Mum, did you really schedule an appointment 3 days before Christmas?" I whined, extremely annoyed.

"Yes, it was the only possibility to see her for a month! Now deal with it. We're going in 10 minutes." She said in a level-headed voice while I groaned and stomped up the stairs.

I couldn't believe her. I was so done with it: the stupid appointments, the stupid journal, the stupid therapist who knew everything. Everything was so stupid.

I laid on my bed for the whole ten extra minutes I had. I got called down, then I grabbed my mp3 and trudged downstairs. My mum smiled at me while I glared at her.

"Fine. Lets go." I grumbled. It took so long to get there, almost an hour.

"Why do we even go there? It's so far away." I moaned while we were in the car. I was in the passenger seat, my mum driving. She rolled her eyes again.

"Because she's the best around." She explained.

"It's obviously not around." I mumbled. I was being such a teenager that day.

We got there and sat in the waiting room forever. Finally, someone came in and looked around the room.

"Phil Lester?" The assistant asked. I stood up, and my mum smiled at me. I glared at her again and walked to the room.

There sat Dr. Navis at her desk. I sat down on one of the couches she had in there.

"Hello Phil." She smiled at me. She looked quite happy. I nodded at her.

"Hey." I replied shortly. I showed her my journal. She smiled widely after flipping a few pages. I had figured that she had gotten to the part where he asked me out.

"Did you say yes?" She asked, closing the book. I caught my breath.

"No. I didn't." I answered sadly. She tilted her head, confused.

"Why not?" Dr. Navis asked, concerned.

"What does this have to do with therapy?" I snarkily replied. She rolled her eyes.

"It has to do with you, Phil." She told me. That struck something in me right then.

"I-I didn't say yes because I didn't know." I stuttered. I wanted to say yes so badly, though. I wanted to tell Dan that.

"That's completely understandable. Make him wait. You're worth it, Phil." She grinned at me. I started to like Dr. Navis.
