Chapter 17

Haylee Jelai's POV

I didn't remember what exactly happen after the first subject but I woke up here now at the clinic. I can feel that my head is aching. I tried to sit down when I felt someone laying by my side. I run my hands on his hair then he woke up. 

"Are you okay? How's your feeling?" Marco asked.

"I'm good. Just headache. Dapat hindi ka na nag laro kung alam mong hindi maganda ang pakiramdam mo." Natigilan ako dahil nag tagalog siya. Bihira ko lamang siya marinig magtagalog kaya minsan na nonose bleed ako kausap siya. 

But then he's right, I just want our team to win ang sabi pag hindi daw naglaro lahat ng team ay madidisqualified na. May additional points pa naman ito. Ayokong sisihin ako ng mga kateam ko.

"I know but we need to be complete." I pout and hold his hand. "I'm sorry."

He chuckled at me. "Stop laughing." Inalis ko ang kamay ko sa kanya.

"Why so cute." He pull me closer to him. 

Now that we are more closer se can see clearly how blushing I am. His eyes looks down from my eyes to my lips. One inch and our lips will touch when the door opens so push him.

"Oh? Gising na ang sleeping beauty. Nahalikan ba ng prinsipe." Mary said na iki natawa namin while holding my brother's hand. "Of course not. Don't act like I slept the whole day." They all laugh. I saw smirk on Marco's face. What?

"We're not acting because you really slept the whole day." I am a bit shock. Ngayon gets ko na bakit pakiramdam ko gutom na gutom na ko.

"Psh!" I look away and pout. "Stop pouting. I might kiss you in front of you brother and friends." Marco whisper at me. I just look at him and didn't give attention to what he just say. Alam kong namumula na naman ang pisnge ko dahil sa sinabi niya. Ayokong makahalata si kuya.

Mas marami kaming pinag-uusapan kung paano nila ako nadala dito, anong mga namiss ko at kamusta ang laro. Nang nawala na ang hilo ko ay pinalabas na din ako ng nurse. Pagkalabas namin ng clinic ay dumiretso na kami sa canteen. Gutom na gutom na talaga ako to the point na ang dami kong nakain. Nakadalawang plato ako ng carbonara at isang chicken. Bumili din ako ng ice cream.

We separate our ways when we got into our cars. Of course I'm with Marco. Since the first day he took me home it becomes his hobby so Kuya James and I seldom see each other at the morning dahil busy din siya ay Mary. While our parents ay sa business naman abala. What a family, right?

I remember that semestral break is coming. "After this sports fest. Sem-break will be next. Do you have any plans?" I asked Marco. Nakaka nose bleed talaga 'to kausap.

"I still don't know. How about you?" Napatingin ako sa kalangitan na nag sisimula ng mag sunset. "We're planning to go to boracay. Just me and the girls, maybe with there boyfriends. If you want to come you can join us... Pero pag free ka lang ha. No pressure."

"I see. I'll check my schedule." Seems like he has a hectic schedule. I smile at him and open the window for fresh air. He never told me about his schedule so I never ask. 

"Baby," Marco's husky voice is what makes my eyes open. "We're here." I look outside to see our gate. Ay nakatulog pala ako, hindi ko na namalayan. "I'm sorry, I slept." He just smile and nodded at me. "Such a sleepy head." He pat my head before removing my seatbelt.

"Thank you. Gusto mo pumasok muna?" My parents aren't here as always.

Pumayag naman siya so I let him seat in the living room habang ako ay dumiretso sa kusina para mag check ng pwedeng ipainom o ipakain sa kanya. Duon ko din nakita si Lina na nag luluto. "Lina, may kasama nga pala ako. Baka si kuya James ay maya maya pa uuwi." She nodded at me.

"Sige, Jelai."

I go back to the couch to check on Marco but he's not there. "Marco?" I try to look around and I heard his voice in the pool area.

"Yes.. Yes.. I know Ciara.. I know.." Ciara? Who is Ciara?

I'm sure hindi iyon ang mommy niya dahil mommy dapat ang itatawag niya at hindi first name nito. Nag-iisang anak lang siya kaya sigurado akong hindi niya kapatid ang kausap. Baka pinsan? kaibigan? Hindi ko alam.

Jelai, don't jump into the conclusion. I talk to myself.

"I'll make it up to the both of you. Tell Mom I'll be home soon. I'm just doing something important." 

What is important? Me? or other more after here. "Yah, sorry for that too. I'll tell her but not now." Tell what? I don't want to eardrop more.

I decided to go back inside and let him there.

Sigurado akong sasabihin niya sa akin kung sino si Ciara at ano ang ibig niyang sabihin na may sasabihin siya pero hindi ngayon. Ngunit ang tanong ay kanino niya ba sasabihin? Sakin? Hindi naman siguro ako dahil kaya niyang sabihin sa akin ngayon kung ako nga. Lagi din naman kaming magkasama.

"Marco?" I repeat when I heard him back in the couch. Tumayo siya ng nakitang palapit ako sa kanya. Bumalik ako sa kusina kanina para hindi halatang nakinig ako sa kanila ng kausap niya.

"Lets eat?" I ask. I pull him towards the dinning area. Then Kuya James arrived ngunit nakakain na daw siya kaya hindi na sumabay samin. Mabuti na lang talaga nadito si Marco, may kasabay ako kumain. The dinner was great. He didn't open the topic about what I heared so I let him.

"Movie marathon?"

"You're still tired. You should take a rest instead." I didn't let him leave until we watch a movie so it is already 11 in the evening when I walk him towards the gate. "You're sure na hindi ka pagagalitan pag uwi mo ha? Baka kausapin ako ng mommy mo." Pang aasar ko lamang ngunit natatakot talaga ako. Hindi ko naman expect na ganitong oras siya makakauwi.

He shake his head. "Your temperature is now back to normal but you still need to rest."

"Okay. Drive safely."

"Where is my good night kiss?" He move closer so I kiss his cheeks. Just for him to stop and go home. "I want in the lips." I chuckled. Hinila ko siya sa ilalim ng CCTV.

He is so cute with his pout lips. He seldom do this so I give him a simple kiss. Sa kanya ko lamang ito nagagawa. "Are we good now?"

He nodded. He open the car and I watch him leave before I entering our house. As soon as I receive his message that his already home I decided to sleep. This day is tiring even though I just slept the whole day at school. I
