Lauren's POV
I sit in my desk my leg uncontrollably bouncing up and down.
Why did they make us come back? I write on a paper along with all my other questions rushing through my brain.
I shoot my eyes to Dani trying to ask her but she has been giving me the cold shoulder since yesterday.
I don't blame her as I put my head in my hands feeling like crawling into a hole and never reemerging.
Dani's POV
"Lauren! Lauren!" I see the new teacher's class we were put into, who seems a lot nicer than the old one, but just as ignorant.
I turn to Lauren who does look like she's being a delinquent not paying attention her head in her hands clearly distraught over something.
"Ms. Peterson." I look at the door to see the principal standing at the door.
Perfect timing.
Amy's POV
I feel attacked as all three of my older sisters stare at me.
I know they want an answer why I woke up Lauren and Dani telling them that they had to go to school.
"What the heck were you thinking Amy Elizabeth Cimorelli!" Christina yells at me and I feel smaller than I usually am. "You told me they needed to go to counseling and sent them back into the belly of the beast." I knew my other sisters didn't know that as their eyes widen.
"What?!" Lisa exclaims her brown eyes now freckled with a blacking red.
I try to form words, usually not a problem with me, but I come up blank.
Lisa's POV
Amy first sends them to school without consulting any of us and then says that school is causing a problem to the two, that's backwards.
"So you took two." I put a two up with my fingers emphasizing it. "Possibly mentally unstable girls back into a triggering situation." I try to drill the thought into her brain.
"Yes but I have a good reason." Amy defends her blue eyes darting back and forth between us.
"And this excuse?" I make sure to make her feel the negative connotation of excuse.
Christina's POV
Amy told me about her wanting to have the girls go back to school but I didn't think she'd go behind our backs.
"Having them avoid their problems is more unhealthy than facing them." I think back to all of the psychology I've read knowing she's half right.
But I don't think throwing them into the deep end is right, like I said, belly of the beast.
Katherine's POV
I can tell Christina knew something of Amy's plan but feels betrayed. She is biting her lip softly a sign of her being stressed out.
"I would like to point out that we know where they are and they are alive." This isn't all negative but it is definitely the first thing that comes to mind.
"Not for long." Lisa mumbles covering her mouth afterwards I know not meaning to slip up.
I stare at her, "Oh come on what else does, "Because I don't matter. I'm a burden. And I'm a waste of space." Lead to?" She defends herself against an invisible attacker.
"What do you mean?" Christina asks and I also feel out of the loop.
"Those were Lauren's exact words last night."
