The Right Kind of Wrong

The Answer

My heart starts to ache on what i saw on her face. Do i need to ask her again the second time? For sure she heard what i just said. No. I cant bear to look her in the eyes. I was about to lower the box that i am holding as well as my eyes, but she threw herself on to me and hugged me tight. I am still on one knee kaya napaluhod na rin siya sa harap ko.

She cried on my shoulder as i hugged her back. She held my cheeks with her both hands and this time she looked straight at me with all the love and happiness. Happy tears are now pouring from her eyes.

"Y-yes. I so want to be your wife. You can have me forever. YES Jel. A big YES." Halos pabulong niya na sagot sakin dahil sa umaapaw na emosyon niya.

My almost empty heart became alive again. My heart is now filled with joy. Her answer was full of sincerities that wrapped my heart and soul. Now happy tears are escaping my eyes. For a moment there i just thought she might say no. Phew. Oh God thank you, she said yes. I cant keep my smile wide because of my tears.

Nanginginig na mga kamay habang kinukuha ko na ang singsing sa loob ng box. She cannot contain also her smiles because of the emotions we are feeling right now. Kinuha niya muna ang promise ring at linipat muna sa kabila.

I inhaled deep as i held her left hand, tumingin muna ako saglit sa mahal ko, bago ko sinuot ang singsing sa daliri niya. Finally.

With trembling hands i slid the ring on her left ring finger. The ring became more beautiful on her. It fits perfectly and sparkles beautifully.

I kissed her finger where the ring is and look up to her beautiful eyes.

"I love you so much Glaiza." Sambit ko ng buong pagmamahal as I put her left hand on my chest.

"I love you too Jel. So much. I love you with all of me baby. I am gonna marry you love." Turan niya sakin. Her words drowned my soul deeper.

I quickly closed the gap between us and finally kissed her on the lips. Namiss ko na ang mga labi niya buong araw and the feeling became more amazing because she is now soon-to-be my wife. I hugged her so tight. Siya naman ang pagpalakpak at cheers sa amin ng pamilya namin habang lumalabas sa kanya kanyang lungga.

"Oh gosh." Surprise again was written on Glaiza's face nung nakita niya ang nga pamilya namin. Tinulungan ko na siyang tumayo sa pagkakaluhod. Tumingin siya sakin na may malapad na ngiti. I wiped her happy tears.

Lumapit na sa amin ang mga magulang namin. We hug each other and they congratulate us. Happy tears are also visible on our mothers faces. Ang higpit ng yakap na ibinibigay ni Glaiza sa mga magulang niya. Saying thank you for everything. For giving us permission to marry. Nagyakapan naman ang mga magulang namin. My heart again filled with happiness as i witness this kind of moment in my life. In our life. Ihaharap ko na sa altar ang mahal ko.

Masaya namang lumapit sa amin si Angelica. She was surprised kasi hindi niya ineexpect na proposal ang gagawin ko tonight. She was happy then at masaya kaming binati. We asked her kung puwede wag muna sabihin sa ibang tropa, gusto namin ni G na kami ang magbreak ng news sa kanila.

"Bro!!!" Patakbong sigaw naman ni Alcris sakin. He gave me a one big hug. "Congrats! Magiging kapatid na rin kita soon. Woo!" Excited na turan niya sakin.

"Kaya nga eh. Totohanan na ang pagtawag mo sakin ng 'bro'. Haha." Biro ko na lang sa kanya. Nagtawanan naman kaming dalawa. Lumapit na rin siya sa ate niya at yumakap din.

"Ate Cha. Masaya ako sa inyo ni Jel. Sa wakas ate, ikakasal ka na. Congrats ate. " Maemosyonal na sambit ni Alcris sa kapatid. Naiyak ulit si G sa sinabi ng kapatid.

"Salamat bunso. You are a very big help naman sa amin ni Jel. Kung wala ka, wala siguro tayo dito ngayon. Kaya, salamat sayo Al." Maluhaluhang niyang sabi sa kapatid habang binigyan ulit ng mahigpit na yakap.
