The misfits that just witnessed their friend get speared by people they didn't know were running through the forest, trying to save their own asses.
Somewhere amidst the teens shouting at each other to keep up, Monty stumbled over something and fell.
"Come on, Monty!" Aella said, helping her friend up, but soon saw the horror on his face.
"Who are they? What are they?" Finn asked although nobody else would know the answer.
Aella picked up the deformed skull she found lying on the ground and muttered, "If this is a friendly hello from our new neighbors, I'd hate to piss them off."
"We are so screwed," Octavia said.
From the distance, they heard a pained scream come from near the river that they recognized.
"Jasper?" Octavia wondered quietly.
"He's not dead!" Aella yelled, running back to the river, yelling, "Jasper!"
"He's alive!" Clarke said, chasing after her friend.
Finn chased after the girls and restrained them from going any further, warning, "Stay out of the trees."
Jasper wasn't where they left him and Clarke nearly swore, adding "He was right there."
"Where is he?" Monty asked.
"They took him," Aella said. "They fucking took him!"
"We've gotta go," Finn said.
"No! We can't just leave him! He's alive!"
"We'll get him later. For now, if we all die, nobody will know where Jasper was last seen nobody will be able to warn everyone else about our new friendly neighbors!"
She knew he was right and it was the logical thing to do, but it didn't sit well with her that they were going to leave their friend who was just stabbed to die.
They continued running and Aella's legs felt like they were going to give out, but she kept going. She noticed Octavia going much slower because of her leg, so she slowed down next to her friend and said, "Hop on my back."
"What?" Octavia said.
"I'm strong enough to carry you on my back and we'll go quicker! Come on!"
She didn't know Aella too well but knew that the girl wouldn't take no for an answer, so she hopped onto her friend's back.
She winced in pain when Octavia wrapped her legs around her sides, but wouldn't make a big show out of it. Carrying the light girl on her back, she began running behind Clarke, Finn, and Monty. With the added weight, it was a bit harder to keep going when her legs so desperately wanted to give out, but Aella wouldn't give up.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, they could hear the delinquents cheering something on.
"Wells, let him go!" Clarke shouted as the group made it back to the camp.
The sight was one the girls didn't want to see; Murphy and Wells decided it would be good to get into a knife fight.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Aella said, making herself known.
Bellamy noticed his sister on the girl's back and instantly worried. "Octavia, are you all right?" he asked.
"Yeah," she said, climbing down Aella's back and falling into her brother's arms. "I'm good."
"Where's the food?" he asked, prompting Aella to scoff.
"We didn't make it to Mount Weather."
"What the hell happened out there?"
