There was never a time in Aella's life where she thought she would be helping her father lead some sort of oddball revolution, but never did she think she'd ever make it to Earth either. If she had a list of things that, up until a year ago, were impossible, she'd have an entire novel dedicated to that damned list.

Reverting back to her sly pick-pocketing days were one of those things.

She stretched out in her single bed, not wanting to wake up, but her sleep schedule forced her to. She wasn't a guard anymore, but that didn't mean she didn't steal a guard uniform that covered her enough to be unrecognizable to wake up early and make sure no one did anything stupid.

She took a round of guard work, keeping an eye out for the other guards instead of Grounders, then returned to her room as soon as her round was over, changing into some clothes for her real work in the medical center.

"Hey, Abby," she greeted tiredly. "Got a bucket of cold water?"

'"No?" she answered, confused.

"I need something. I'm more tired today."

"Well, if you really wanna go nuts, take Jaha's key thing. Supposedly works like a charm."

"I don't trust anything that hippie has to tell anyone anymore." She grabbed a chart. "Who am I looking at today?"

"Raven, Lincoln, then the other Grounders."

"Okay, then. Uh, have you heard anything from Clarke recently?"

"Raven's the one kinda in charge of that stuff, you know?" Abby tried to play it off calmly, but she was worried.

"Lexa wouldn't let Clarke come to harm," Aella assured the worried mother.

"Are you sure of that?"

"Absolutely. Lexa's mean and a hard bitch, but I can always tell when someone's in love."

"Lexa and Clarke?"

"I mean, they complement each other well." She placed the chart down. "So, where's Raven?"

"Right outside."

"Okay, then." Aella placed a tight smile on her face before opening the door to call for Raven. She was a little unnerved when she saw that Raven was staring at a wall. Then she spoke.

"Okay, A.L.I.E.," Raven murmured to the woman in red standing in front of the wall, both unaware of Aella's presence.

"Uh, Raven, it's check-up time," Aella interjected, feeling rather nervous that Raven was talking to herself.

"Oh, right," Raven mumbled, hobbling her way into the medical center. She still walked and hobbled, but because of the woman in red, she didn't feel the pain. Oddly enough, she didn't feel anything else either.

"Sit down, Birdy," Aella said, grabbing Raven's chart and scanning it. "Well, tests say that there are no drugs in your system which means you are all good to go back to work. If you feel any pain, you report it to me, Abby, or Jackson immediately. Hell, tell Sinclair if you're in pain."

"There is no pain in the City of Light, Aella."

She paused. "Okay. Now, I kinda have to run a physical test on you. You don't need to stand up yet, but close your eyes and keep 'em shut."

Raven did as she was told as Aella hit some pressure points on Raven's leg, waiting to see a physical reaction to it, but there was none. As she checked blood pressure and reflexes, she noticed how low both of them were.
