Okay, so I wanted to address something that crossed my mind. I was worried someone would think that I was shoving Clarke away from her duties and replacing Aella with them solely for the story purposes, but I really think she would step up in that way. There is a reason why Aella does what she does.

Clarke is still very much so important to this story, something I will prove in later chapters.

After her speech, Aella got to work, thinking it would be a monotonous day of all work, no play. She knew that if only 100 people could be inside the ship, she wouldn't be in it, but Archer would; she knew she had to make it safe enough for him.

Then her plans got immediately derailed when a Grounder came to Arkadia holding Octavia in his arms, the girl practically knocking on death's door, Harper coming with them.

"She stopped breathing!" Harper shouted.

"Oh my god!" Aella shouted. "Get her on the table! Someone alert Clarke!"

Octavia was laid down on the table and Aella placed her ear close to Octavia's mouth to listen for breathing but didn't hear or see a thing. She began chest compressions, just like she was trained to do by Abby when she first started volunteering in the medical center.

100 compressions a minute. Don't mind if you break a rib.

Once Octavia gasped for air, Aella knew she would be okay for the moment.

"Octavia, just listen to my voice, okay?" she comforted. "What happened?"

"Azgeda's coming," she responded weakly.

"What are you talking about?"

"Azgeda is coming. Army...marching. War is here."

Her eyes rolled back into her head as she lost consciousness, Aella noticing Clarke arrive with a stretcher, the former ordering, "Bring her to medical! Patch her up!"

"Will do," Clarke responded. "I'll set up an IV and a suture kit. Come by when you're done." She took Octavia to the medical center with Monty trailing. Aella was ready to follow when she noticed the Grounder.

"Who are you?" she asked him.

"Ilian kom Trishanakru," he responded.

"Not that I'm ungrateful that you found her, but how did you find her?"

"I was on my way home from Polis," he answered.

"See, I don't exactly trust you, Ilian, but you saved Octavia and I'm grateful. Now, what are your intentions here?"

"I simply wish to leave."

She approached him and looked into his eyes, declaring, "You're lying."

"It is not in my nature to lie."

"It is human nature to lie, though. Unless you're not human, I can't exactly trust you."

"Do you not trust other people?"

"I do, but I know these people. I don't know you."

"Aella, we have to go," Harper voiced. "We need to talk to Miller's dad about Ice Nation. If they're going to march on us, we need a plan."

"Ilian kom Trishanakru, you are welcome to stay here until our conflict with Azgeda is resolved, but only if you stay under my watch. If you refuse, you leave. Understood?"

"Understood," he responded, looking at all the tech around him.

Aella dragged Ilian into the room with the P.A. system and called for a meeting to be held in the conference room, dragging him into the conference room as well all while Harper followed. When everyone needed showed up to the meeting (except those in medical), Aella silently begged Harper to watch over Ilian, to which she complied.
